FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010

Featured Replies

I think you'd still be able to get a pass, that won't be the biggest problem. I don't know if I'd take the money. I know she offered, but still. Borrowing money is a thing I only do with my closest friends and only in crisis.

yeah I know , I feel the same way... and I know saying no is the right thing to do. just really really pissed that I won't go.

This really is an emergency and I totally understand why you'd want to borrow the money.

I wouldn't call it an Emergency.

I mean, yes it's going to be fantastic but for all intents and purposes;

we don't even know for sure that Coldplay will be on that boat.

It's brilliant that Phil will be there, and Debs, and Matt & Miller

and for me that's enough because it's super cool and I don't live far out of London

but it's a long way for people to travel if they think they're going to meet the band.

:\ I just hope everybody is satisfied if they're travelling halfway around the world.

"it says "fra gil ee" so it must be french"

Last year a store near me was selling Christmas Story fudge. For real. Oh fffffffuuuuuuuudddddgggggge. I'll try to find some more this year, the box it came in was pretty cool!

see, that's the thing - I am sure that it will be fun with these guys, but then ... if the band is gonna be there I am not gonna forgive myself for not coming. not that I ma obsessed or a stalker, it's just that I really love the band and respect them as people - the things they do for their fans and how down to Earth they are, makes their music and their approach a lot more personal. hope you guys get what I am saying :)

I totally get you, and if they were definitely going to be there then it would be so worth it but I think there are a lot of people who are travelling crazy miles to be there just because they're certain that the lads will be there, and they'll just be disappointed if they're not. If you can come, then come! it will be an amazing experience anyway! :D

Maybe they're going to let us all meet the band so we stop going to Fleet Road :laugh3:

Maybe they're going to round us up and be all like:

'Okay, so you lot are the main offenders and visitors to the studio.... STAY AWAY!'

Only the greatest movie ever! :awesome:

Agreed! :P

Ralphie shares a great deal of valuable life lessons throughout the film, so I suggest checking it out. Ex: I know if I fire a BB gun, I will without a doubt, shoot my eye out :borg:-- ergo, avoid BB guns or have a nice set of patsy icicles nearby for insurance.

please say we'l know what day it is later on today I need my holiday form in very fast :P

I definitely can't go. :cry::cry:

I wanted to get emergency ID card but my mother doesn't want . She says it is impossible to get one because "Coldplay is not an emergency".

Teddy and I won't meet Coldplay.

Tell the band I love them.

I am so sorry to hear that.

(I still can't make my mind up what to wear. What's everyone else going for...?)

jumper dress and I've yet to decide whether to wear thick wooly tights and boots or jeans and heels.

Don't know why anyone would "dress up". Have you ever seen Coldplay dress fancy for anything. I'm sure they aren't expecting anyone to show up in a tux. It will be cold out doors and heated on the inside of the boat, so dress for that. Just wear what you would wear if you were going to see them in concert.....because you never know.

nope, I won't do it I'm not wearing a hoodie and trainers :P

That's what I was thinking. I normally wear jeans and hoodies to concerts, but this is a bit different... And I don't think I'll have time to buy the skinniies I've been eyeing if it ends up being Thursday XD

That 'A Christmas Story' film looks infinately creepy. Every time it comes through my till, I shudder just because of the kid on the front.

According to that map it looks like Waterloo will be the nearest big train station. Normally mine is a direct train to Victoria, so would it be worth swapping at Clapham and going in to Waterloo?

Waterloo and Victoria stations are close. You could walk but it's a fair walk (down a big shopping street, past Big Ben etc and across the bridge over the river). I'd go for the bus - there are good buses that run between the stations. Victoria station has a big bus depot right outside where the platforms are and they go regularly from there to Waterloo. Hope that helps :)

I just messaged Kelly to see if he was coming on Thursday or friday and he said he hadn't heard anything as yet....hhhmmm....

Not to keep banging the "I think the band may be there" drum, but I doubt they'd bring along Kelly for them hopping on a boat in their home city to attend a private party of 100 people :P. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they'd feel the need to protect themselves against us loons, but I feel like they would only use security when doing big, publicized things or travelling.

Interesting, though :D

So how many are flying from overseas??
