Even when you forget about the signed legal agreements, having somebody from the forum leak this information could cause the band to lose trust in the forum. As it stands, Coldplaying is held in very high respect by the band and their crew, hence this boat trip being planned in the first place. We do NOT want to lose that, ladies and gentlemen.

But the basics . Shot the video ? Coldplay was there ? What's the vid , is it true that they previewed a little bit of their new album ?

 

Did they say ANYTHING about the new album ? release date title , single , something? (not asking you to tell us the titlle or single , just to say yes or no) :)

As someone said, it feels horrible knowing you I have been while I'm not. I must admit that I'm bummed and had tears in my eyes minutes ago. I had a strong feeling Coldplay would be there. (wheather they were on the boat I'm unsure of from the posts?)

Damn school. If it hadn't been because I felt obligated to school and guidance for an important assignment I probably would have gone.

 

It's getting better though. I feel happier and happier for the others with time. :hug: They're probably having a great time.

 

 

 

I think it's fair to say that I hope the silence agreement is untrue or only about the Christmas Lights video as I don't really feel the "recognition of your support for Coldplay" when the members there can't share. :\ Oh well... :)

 

I'm not complaining! I think Coldplay doing this is really generous etc. I'd just wish they had announced in on a longer notice, not a week before.

 

We've just been given the go ahead to tell you that we were on the video shoot for Christmas Lights. It was fun but we only saw the band from afar!

They would have never pleased us all, if this happened in the US or in any South American country, or in Australia, many people would have written the same complaints. They are a UK band, they're based in London, so I think it's understandable they chose to do this there.

I know it sucks, I'm here as well writing from my bedroom and kicking myself for this lost chance. I swear this is the only time in my life when I'm not complaining just because we're gonna get a new song and a video, and people I know were part of this :nice:

Wow interesting news development. So I guess the surprise was being in the video, but I wonder if they actually met the band? One of them said they saw them 'far away' so maybe they were able to watch the filming, and now they are on the boat trip Q&A, etc. that was discussed in the original announcement. Plus was Simon Pegg there as director?

 

I mean, the fact they were even near the band is a bonus! They never said the band would be there, just everyone's imaginations ran away with them. I'm sure they are having a wonderful time.

 

A raffle for a signed 'Mince Spies' and Coldplay karaoke?!?! Arrgh, that's just :awesome: in itself!!

I'll tell you the basics cause I don't want to be responsible for any media fuck up: we got to the boat, they took our cameras and phones away and said fuck the Q&A, you're gonna be in a Coldplay video. The guys were not on the boat. We shot from the top of the boat. They waved at us from where they were and Chris talked to us over the talkie walkie.We didn't meet them cause I think they are still shooting but come on...We got to be in a video.

Then we stayed on the boat, ate sandwiches and sang Coldplay karaoke :D
