November 28, 201015 yr People, when it comes to dates, I really don't think we can believe Coldplay! They always say so many different things so we'll never really know! :P
November 28, 201015 yr I remember that Phil told some other fans at the Bakery earlier, that they are almost finished with the album, didn´t he? :thinking: actually, i believe he told them that the album had quite a way to go and the tour wouldn't start until the end of next year :P

I mean, I'm not ignorant to the process of finding the right version of a song, mixing, recording, producing, blah blah (maybe a little ignorant to specifics but understand the time it takes...), but could that really take so long? I mean they've already booked something for June??? Isn't that an indicator? I know they've done gigs and shows while recording but I can't imagine they show up to that and just play the same they've got are in Germany...doesn't that sound like a kick off to you? I know everyone says what Phil told them, but I don't see why he'd have to necessarily tell the truth. It'd be a good lie anyway! Couldn't agree more ! About the song titles, Where is Will to disapprove them!!!? :lol: well, he apparently was fine with a song called "Viva La Vida" (and an album) :laugh3: which to me at least, sounded so cheesy the first time I read it! (and it made me think of Palito Ortega's mega cheesy song :blank:) I don't think we should judge the songs by their title.

Agree, I honestly think that they're saying late 2011 as a safety net...I feel like they have more of it either in the can or planned out than they're letting on. Unless it's posted on coldplay.com as news, my usual tact is to not believe a word about new material that comes out of their mouths in person or in interviews, even when it is good old Phil. I don't really agree about the German connection, though. I think this album is going to be just as much about anti-Nazis as VLV was about Latin America/derived from Latin American influences...that is to say, only a touch of a detectable flavor.

Oh no I agree with you there. I didn't mean it will actually have influences - it will have Coldplay influences. Which is to say - mostly imaginary if they're anything outside Anglo-American pop/rock. I just meant Coldplay might be playing the Germany shows because of how they've been "influenced" by the movement.
