August 7, 200916 yr Hello, I don't have any Radiohead knowledge except I have heard so many good things about them like Yellow745's signature quote! So I was wondering if someone could PM me and help me decide some Radiohead songs I might like? Thank You!
August 8, 200916 yr ^ Try The Bends album first ( high & dry, fake plastic trees, just, my iron lung, street spirits, the bends, you'll love the whole album) and then ok computer ( It's a masterpiece) for starters.
August 8, 200916 yr i would recommend you start with In Rainbows but The Bends isnt a bad place to start either. i just find In Rainbows to be most digestable out of the lot.
August 8, 200916 yr they are awesome !! although their music can be depressive sometimes... but they are one of the greatest bands in the world !! i've got lots of their live concerts... (if anyone wants can give the link) :)

August 8, 200916 yr ^^ haha was just about the post that myself. how serious do you think he is. or is he just "talking". but short EP's sound pretty cool.
August 8, 200916 yr well thom said something like that after HTTT. it's how they feel about it atm I think.
August 8, 200916 yr That was published in February, when they attended they Grammys. Look who's in studio now. :) http://pitchfork.com/news/36154-thom-yorke-radiohead-not-planning-to-release-any-albums-for-awhile/
August 8, 200916 yr In regard to that article which I read yesterday I think it's good. I've read the full interview as well and it's quite interesting. I think that it'd be good for the band just to focus on working on individual songs rather than trying to make songs fit together on an album. It'd be great if we got some EP's or singles. What also makes this so great is that if the band want to they can now essentially record a song, mix it, and then sell it online. They no longer have to go through waiting for a record company to make the album and sell it. I think that we'll be getting new songs a lot sooner than we expect. Perhaps it might not be a while until a new album but I have a feeling that in some regard or another we'll get to hear some new tunes. Also I feel that perhaps that band wants to do this because they feel too pressured to work on another album. I mean of course thom mentioned that it's a hassle to put an album together but perhaps there's something more. I mean think about it. A casual listener of the band probably only listens to the albums, and doesn't dive deeper. Also in general EP's don't seem to be such a big deal. Take coldplay... their Prospeckts March EP did recieve some news, but not nearly as much as VLV. Perhaps Radiohead feels the same way in that with so much news and success with In Rainbows there's a lot to live up to, and since Thom is a perfectionist it'll probably be years until a new album. That's just my 2 cents. Also someone posted on atease that he knows someone within the movie business and the band has shot a video in the catacombes of paris in July. Don't know how reliable this is, but if it's true it's very exciting. I wonder if it'll be a video for In Rainbows or a new song.
August 8, 200916 yr Someone posted this on atease... this is a great interview w/ Jonny... haha [ame= ] [/ame]
August 8, 200916 yr I suppose you lot have listened to the new Radiohead song Harry Patch (In Memory Of). I'm as big a critic of Radiohead as you'll ever likely to read from but Radiohead have done a truly honourable act by doing this in memory of a true hero, one of the last WW1 veterans. I also have to mention and remember Henry Allingham who died a few days previously, another WW1 hero. It is truly sad to see them going from us as there will be none left to tell their remarkable stories. This world loses more from these men than most. Well done Radiohead and Rest In Peace to all those war veterans who have told their incredible stories.
