I can't imagine that they started recording immediately after the MX concerts down under. And Chris has been in the US a lot lately so it's rather unlikely that LP6 is almost finished.

Not official. The coldplayers on tumblr are saying a big announcement is coming about LP6 and supposibly it's on the 18th. I highly doubt anything will happen, just another rumor.

a) Don't Panic/Life in Technicolor: short, gentle, standalone song to introduce the sound of the record.

b) Politik/Square One: big, loud, epic introduction.

c) Mylo Xyloto: Tiny instrumental that segues into the second track.

 

If you pick ©, what kind of song would you like to follow?

 

Personally, I hope we get a Politik. I don't care for any of the "intro" type pieces that Coldplay do.

I prefer a)

If they can pull off a great b) then I'll take that any day.

 

But that's kind of hard to do-- to start an album with an explosion of sound without being to heavy-footed. So I'd be fine with a LiT type lead in.

I love all the 3. But I've only witnessed a c), I'd really like to hear b) because it must be so smashing it kills you with emotions, I want to see how it feels.

I think c) could be included in a), the big difference is between a/c) and b).
