Eyes are cool, yes. That's why they are cliche. Everyone wants to use eyes coz they're cool looking. I would be fine with another mural type thing. Since the beginning of the Viva era, their art in general has been really good.

Okay, fine. They're cliche. But couldn't you take something that's cliche and do some awesome with it so that it doesn't just look boring and cliche?

Sure. Regardless, eyes still look really cool.

One question, why putting on it just eyes and not other parts of the body? I mean, they even could add lips and ears. Imagine the four of them doing something similar to the 3 wise monkeys. Read the following text:

"The three wise monkeys (Japanese: 三猿, san'en or sanzaru, or 三匹の猿, sanbiki no saru, literally "three monkeys"), sometimes called the three mystic apes, are a pictorial maxim. Together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil. Sometimes there is a fourth monkey depicted with the three others; the last one, Shizaru, symbolizes the principle of "do no evil". He may be shown crossing his arms.

There are various meanings ascribed to the monkeys and the proverb including associations with being of good mind, speech and action. In the Western world the phrase is often used to refer to those who deal with impropriety by turning a blind eye.

In English, the monkeys' names are often given as Mizaru, Mikazaru and Mazaru, but the last two names were corrupted from the Japanese originals."

What do you think? I can see the guys doing something like that, it would be very interesting and it goes with their style absolutely.

^^ Why not  But it still depends on what LP6 is all about...

Maybe...but I just love eyes.

Pshh. I'm talking about a more realistic eye... Haha!

Woops :P Ok then, eyes are surely beautiful... But as everyone said, not very original...

in dutch we call that 'horen, zien en zwijgen'.

(hear, see and whist)

it's a line that my granddad always said. he is dead now.. it would mean the world to me if they do that! even they aren't aware of it..

Gosh this would be terrible. I'd flip a table if they did that. Hate to keep being negative but its the truth.

What pose do you think that would do each one? There would be 4 poses: covering his eyes, covering his ears, covering his mouth, crossing his arms.

Hmm, I've always thought about the cover art pattern of this trilogy in this way:

Viva la Vida has a painting that has been done by someone else.

Mylo Xyloto cover is created by Coldplay.

So LP6 cover should be created by us, the fans.

It could come in the form of a blank canvas instead of a cover, maybe with some outlines. Not created competition-wise, though that might not be such a bad idea.

Actually not at all hard to do. I did it on here on a much smaller scale a few years back, and they have more people working for them that could review a large number of fan submissions. I doubt they'd 'source something like that to the fans, but it would be really cool. :D

EDIT: They did it with the Oxfam video, and if they kept the number of submissions to say, the first 1000 entries, no problem!

That would be cool.

the four monkey idea is terrible! but i like the 3D cover or one done by the fans. unlikely to happen though

If we have to go back to a Viva La Vida style, what painting would you choose to the cover? I would pick this one:

la-persistencia-de-la-memoria.jpg

It is called The Persistence of Memory, also known as Soft Watches and is a famous painting by the Spanish painter Salvador Dali painted in 1931.

I'd go with something by Matisse, but that doesn't really strike me as being their style.

They never want to repeat themselves. I don't think they would do paintings again

If it's true it's probably not LP6 related.

Reading the comments, she's clearly not a fan, so she has no reason to make it up. How cool would that be??? :D

EDIT: It would be nice if it were LP6-related, but Tash is probably right. I'd rather have Bono on it than another Rihanna or similar 'artist',lol.
