i think one of their errors with MX was all the singles were the more mainstream pop sounding tracks on the album whereas they could have chosen Major Minus or DLIBYH or UWTB even as singles with better music videos to accompany them.

 

so i would like to see that change in LP6. and also more performance based videos.

 

also chris's voice somehow started to sound different after VLV. i think there was sort of a rawness in his voice before that. and i really liked it and so i prefer his pre-VLV voice. maybe its just me!

Based on what he's posting on twitter (songs, new albums etc) and the way he played those songs in the this new gig i think LP6 will be based on piano and will consist in more ambient music.

I believe his voice had changed around the time of X&Y already. Didn't he have some sort of surgery ?

you're right about the surgery and the fact that it changed between AROBTTH and X&Y. but i cant remember when he had it. i always assumed it was a very long time ago and early on in their career. but i dont think its entirely because of aging or the surgery. he was definitely aware of it so maybe it was deliberate

he had surgery when he was 8 if i'm not wrong, the scar that you see on his neck is due from that surgery

My gut tells me lp6 will be released in June of 2014 but since my gut has no affiliation with the band it could be very wrong...

I hope your gut is right. that's also in trend with the trend they set after A Rush Of Blood. ± 3 years between each record.

Well yes I now know that WoTM is a not a Coldplay song due to further research still it's so nice to hear new music whether it be a cover or original.

OK, so does this mean we'll be getting LP6 summer 2014? I have been assuming for a while now that it would come out winter 2014, but now....

 

I hope there is truth to what Chris is saying.... but usually with early rumors like these, Chris doesn't really know what he's talking about.

 

Remember a year before MX came out, we got little nuggets from Chris like: LP5 will be "acoustic and intimate" ...and.... "LP5 is about love, addiction, and working with people you don't like" ???

 

MX turned out much different than that so I don't even know what to expect...
