It says it will be available from October, 21st... it's a Friday, usually all the records are to be available during weekends in order to be properly charted...

Well. :blank: North America gets no love.

Poor us :P

I agree! :laugh3: Darn new music Tuesday!

FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Congratulations to all the European Coldplayer's!

Weird

Why coldplay indicated release the 24 ?

That's...weird . Either the retailers have it wrong or Coldplay has it wrong. Big artists can usually get away with releasing records on "untraditional" days of the week, and Coldplay definitely fits in that criteria, but I don't know why they'd tell us that most of the world will get it on the traditional Monday if retailers are listing it as the Friday before. I feel like the 21st would be the ship date of the record when ordered from places like Amazon and HMV, but why they'd list it like that if that was the case...I have no idea.

Grrrrr Europe (maybe) :veryangry:

Random bump: I just looked up the old Viva release dates for another reason, and it turns out that Viva was released in the UK on a Thursday back in 2008:

JAPAN: Wednesday, June 11, 2008

UK: Thursday, June 12, 2008

EUROPE: Friday, June 13, 2008

AUS/NZ: Saturday, June 14, 2008

USA: Tuesday, June 17, 2008

So even Coldplay's done that before--I guess the weirdest part isn't the day of the week, it's that the official site's release date doesn't match what online retailers are saying

Even on Bol.com the release date is October, 21st

Well.. I don't really mind.. :escaping:

So it will be aviable in europe on the 21st instead of 24th?

In The Netherlands is Friday also a release day!

Lucky Europeans :P

This is when they will bring the UK release date forward to either the Thursday or Friday, screw the charts!

Why does Capitol have to suck so bad for America! I wish the album just come out on one day, October 24th like the rest of the world. Good for the British since Coldplay's giving their home country a bonus releasing it "early". Maybe.......

i stumbled upon that too... well i grabbed a few of your links (amazon, bol, hmv, ...) and asked debs wild in an email what's going on, so maybe she'll reply? she did last time =)

This may be a really stupid question but say it is actually released on the 24th worldwide, does that mean on the 24th your time or in GMT?
