How many gigabytes of music do you have?

Featured Replies

Just to clarify my "I'm one of those people who still believe in CD's" comment, I meant that I don't have an mp3 player and hardly ever listen to music on my laptop. I still prefer physical albums and playing them on a hi-fi, it's just more special for me, even though it makes one look archaic I guess.

I feel like a nerd :disappointed:

You should feel like a boss.

8.7 GB on my iPod, but 10.4 GB if you count what I haven't synced yet, as well as music that I don't really want on my iPod anymore, but kept just in case I have the urge to listen to it sometime. :P

I have like 15, I think.

My iPod is an 8 gb model (so it really holds about 6.5 gigs) :shifty:

22.6GB. Somehow I manage to fit a substantial proportion of that onto my 8GB iPod. Probably through sorcery.

It's all good! Granted, I do listen to my iPod when I'm around the house instead of Spotify, Pandora, or XM......but I only listen to my CDs in my car. I don't have those fancy iPod hookups in my car. And I DO NOT listen to the radio.....it only plays crap these days.

When the kids aren't around, I usually break out my vinyl and clean the house or browse the web. I can't listen to my vinyl while the kids around anymore because they are constantly sticking their hands into the turntable and messing up the records.

On the computer currently 413.86 GB

I believe in high bit-rates.

Causes me problems with my back-ups, almost getting to big for a 500GB drive

just 158 gb coldplay archive + 121 gb others = 279 gb

I've deleted a lot, so I'd probably have around 60 if you count everything that's not on my computer. Almost all of it is 256 or 320 kbps in MP3 or M4A, so it'd be much more if I decided to rip stuff in FLAC.

I think somewhere between 5-10

213... oops :p I store all my music in FLAC, so that takes up a lot of space... But ever since I hooked up my computer to my stereo, I pretty much play all my music on my computer. And seeing as I'm such a nerd, I hate mp3's :P

  • 4 weeks later...

Edit:

~95 GBs

~777 artists

~12,000 songs

I only have about 1 on my iPod but I have about 15-20 on my computer. I alternate between them
