Latin American Tour 2013 [CANCELLED - GENERAL DISCUSSION HERE]

Featured Replies

It's dommage for me because, in september this year, I'll go in USA and I come back at my home in march 2013. I don't think that I would have enough money... :\

Squeeeee Santiago!!!Now they just need to go to Peru!

Uuuuuuuhhhhhh... WHERE THE HECK IS MEXICO?!?!?! :(

Don't worry, they'll play Mexico. The potential to sell a lot of tickets and make a lot of money is there. This source is for information pertaining ONLY to South America. My guess is Mexico is either just before/after these South American dates. Hoping that Mexico dates will lead to more shows in North America, particularly Ohio!

this is not all dates! and the dates can be changed too!

tour starts in mexico in the middle of february, after going to south america

colombia, paraguay and venezuela probably is on the tour too

its a "circular logistic" across the continent:

mexico city -> rio de janeiro -> Sao paulo -> porto alegre -> montevideo -> buenos aires -> assuncion (?) -> lima -> caracas (?) -> bogota (?)

and return to north america

I think they're probably going to Mexico after South America, like in previous tours :)

^ I hope so. Even if I hate the waiting I love being the last stop of the tour.

The entertainment promoter comapany NewFever aparentaly confirmed the Brazil shows on facebook sharing the news and adding "Coldpaly confirmed in Brazil", and just a few hours after denied the information...strange, but that's not a comapny that usually works with big international concerts so I guess they just messed things up and were just spreading music news.

Edit: Don't even bother with it, the press made rumour from nothing....

I read in the internet that the show in Mexico will be in february, that means it will be the first stop in the Latin American Tour.

RUMOR

"O usuário @gabesimas atualizou em seu twitter a seguinte informação:

twitter-gabesimas.png

Outro fato, é de que a banda sempre deixa um considerável espaço de tempo para a produção de um novo álbum, Parachutes (2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), X&Y (2005), Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) e Mylo Xyloto (2011). Portanto, não vamos tirar conclusões, até que a banda faça algum anúncio da turnê na America Latina no site oficial."

The user @ gabesimas updated on his twitter the following information.

@gabesimas "Coldplay's manager says the band will enter in studio in 2013 and they may not come to Brazil at the beginning of the year, as reported"

Known for informing in advance the dates of shows here in Brazil, it was he who struck the coming of Coldplay at Rock in Rio in 2011. However, this rumor is in contradiction with the recent information that Chris Martin would move to Los Angeles. Another fact is that the band always leaves a considerable amount of time to produce a new album, Parachutes (2000), A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), X & Y (2005), Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) and Mylo Xyloto (2011). So we will not draw conclusions until the announcement of banda do some touring in Latin America on the official website.

____

let's pray for gabesimas to be wrong, this time... :/

it's kinda contradictory, one says Chris wants to move to L.A. and take a break for a year, other says they're not touring to work on a new album.....

i don't know what to think, but 3 years is a long time to wait :\

HOW LONG MUST LATIN AMERICA WAIT FOR COLDPLAY??? :bigcry:

Well, this sucks. Saw it coming tho.

After the hiatus rumours fans decided to act :D

There's this brazilian video, this flipbook will be handed to the band at the Prague gig. The guy who will hand it out won a competition and got the trip to watch the concert.
