I don't even understand anymore :( I thought this was going to be shown live on TV? I also got the times wrong and thought 5pm est was 3am UK so I've been half asleep while cp were tearing up the stage!

Why are they playing such short shows? :( If I get a ticket for the RAH show and they only play for an hour I will be very sad :(

So it seems O (Part 2) is

EITHER the bit after Fly On and they just decided to release it on its own as a bonus track.

OR it's very similar to the bit after Fly On but is in fact different.

 

That still leaves the question of whether Reprise is the same thing

From what I gather:

 

-Fly On is the bit with Chris singing

-O is the bit where Apple and her friend Mabel sing (I think it's also played to start the album/concert a la Life in Technicolor/The Escapist)

 

-O part 2 is O Reprise (not as sure about this one)

Great show - but a bit short - but it's a promo tour so they're not playing full length concerts and it's a small venue (so there is some cachet to that). They did seem to have some glitches along the way - chris kept telling his roadie/tech to back when he was on the piano - it was pretty funny, but that's what happens when you don't get enough of a soundcheck in - it makes a difference. Wish they could just play for like 2 hours - they have enough songs to last days.

 

Resting up for round 2 @ 9p - can't wait - A sky full of stars sounds amazing live - forget the edm aspect when you see Jonny, Guy, and Will jamming away - total hit written all over it - it will go up there with Viva, ETIAW, In My Place, and Yellow as those major anthemic songs from each album. W

 

Where are the coldplayers gathering before round 2? sorry i couldn't meet up with coldplayers for the 5p show - i was coordinating a bunch of my friends (most who never saw coldplay live) to get together - suffice it to stay, they are new coldplay fans - they were blown away by how good technically they were - (2 of my friends are in real bands, and toured for a bit).

 

Anyway, Midnight is amazing live - words can't describe what they do with that visually - it must be experienced - if coldplay really goes in that direction - watch out world! that was in another dimension - ethereal and bad as a hell.

I agree, it was good, but a tad bit short, but the total act made up for it! Both Midnight and A Sky Full of Stars were amazing! There were some people around me complaining that the tickets were worth nothing, and that it was a waste of time, but I disagree. It was a small venue, and overall no regrets. Would totally attend again in a heart beat!

Call me old fashioned but I love that they had to improvise at 5 show. Made it very real and sweet.
