August 25, 201510 yr Ok We REALLY NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE LIKE THAT. Even though Im new, that sounded like it was fun knowing a little bit more about the album b4 coming out and the steady progress they were making. Since this is the end of the "cycle", I think it would have made sense to do something like that to build up the excitement for the finale, instead of just leaving us in the dust. But Coldplay will do what Coldplay does.
August 25, 201510 yr Ok We REALLY NEED TO HAVE SOMEONE LIKE THAT. Even though Im new, that sounded like it was fun knowing a little bit more about the album b4 coming out and the steady progress they were making. Oh, it was great! The updates were a blast, not to mention they were very well-written. Prospekt would give just enough details to lead you onto what was happening, but not too many so that everything was obvious. The lead-up to the album release was also spectacular, particularly when he unveiled a list of potential tracks for the record. His writings, I'd say, were a little better than Roadie #42's, likely due to their style and length, but that's not to say that #42's were bad (they were great!). Alas, as Draco said, it would have been better for these posts to have started earlier on in the process of the album being written and recorded rather than at the end, but I wouldn't mind a simple nod to our desires by a single blog update from either Prospekt or Roadie #42 to tie us over a little longer. Oh well. I will be patient with everyone else, for there isn't much more I can do!
August 25, 201510 yr ok, so no media outlet has linked AHFOD producers as stargate before. so either vulture knows something that we don't and this is confirmation or they are just going with the fan assumptions. What we know about big albums that could be out at some point this fall. Or in 2016. Coldplay, A Head Full of Dreams The band’s seventh album will include highly personal songs that allow you to “shuffle your feet a little bit,” says lead singer Chris Martin. With production team Stargate (Beyoncé, Rihanna, Katy Perry), that sounds like a given. x
August 25, 201510 yr ok, so no media outlet has linked AHFOD producers as stargate before. so either vulture knows something that we don't and this is confirmation or they are just going with the fan assumptions. x I think it's just a supposition. With all the fans talking about Stargate, they probably thought it was confirmed. But it is curious that they're the first to talk about Stargate... I mean, the band hasn't said anything at all to the fans!! Can they be doing things in secret? [emoji54] "I live to see the world"
August 25, 201510 yr ok, so no media outlet has linked AHFOD producers as stargate before. so either vulture knows something that we don't and this is confirmation or they are just going with the fan assumptions. x Well, If they do they are keeping it very close to their chest. The Stargate assumption is fair and just a matter of official confirmation at this point considering what the band have tweeted, although I hope it's not true based on Stargate's credentials. I also don't know where they're getting the "highly personal" songs thing from. We know nothing of the lyrics. Maybe just an assumption based on the tenuous link to GS?
August 25, 201510 yr I also don't know where they're getting the "highly personal" songs thing from. We know nothing of the lyrics. Maybe just an assumption based on the tenuous link to GS? He said in an interview: "the more personal, the more likely it is to be released". Idk from what interview that is, though. "I live to see the world"
August 25, 201510 yr http://www.franchiseherald.com/articles/36512/20150824/coldplay-new-album.htm I found the last paragraph of this article interesting In line with the new album news, Coldplay has yet to announce an official release date, however there are also rumblings claiming that Chris Martin is going to pull off a Beyonce-like surprise launch for its fans. I assume they got that impression from us?

Yay! We're famous!! [emoji23] For real now, it is possible. Magazines, websites and such might search for leads everywhere (forums, social media, etc) instead of basing their articles on facts and official announcements. "I live to see the world"
August 25, 201510 yr What do u think about my fan cover? :P I like it... the cover will probably be bright and stunning like that though something tells me the font will be the old Parachutes-X&Y font. I could still see the album cover looking something similar your design, though.
August 26, 201510 yr I'd love it if they returned to their old Parachutes, AROBTTH, X&Y font again ! It's the Coldplay font !
August 26, 201510 yr So Carly Rae Jepson's new album Emotion just dropped and I think it is great! Quality pop music that mixes modern dance and electronic pop beats with 80's instrumentation and flare. The reason I bring this up is because I could see Coldplay doing something similar, but more rock driven. If the boys truly go all out pop, then I feel like this is a style could mostly work since it balances instrumentation and production well. Check out songs like Run Away With Me and Emotion. Really great pop tunes that could be rock driven and have that fun 80's vibe. It also kind of reminds me of M83: [video=youtube;TeccAtqd5K8] Regardless of your thoughts on Carly or her music, which is largely all written and produced for her by top of the line artists, pop music has been enjoying 80's throwback lately, and I feel like that is a trend Coldplay could play with well, especially considering their admiration for groups like a-ha and Rik Simpson's love for synthesizers! I think that could be really exciting, even if just for a song or two.

I think that could be really exciting, even if just for a song or two. Even if I'm not exactly crazy about this kind of pop, it's better than some of the bullshite I hear on the radio. So, if Coldplay turn to this kind of pop (which I actually doubt), I won't be too sad. But I still want to hear rockier Coldplay albums, and I want AHFOD to be one. "I live to see the world"
August 26, 201510 yr the thing is, for me that song just blended into the background and then forgotten. i really do hope we'll get some real drums this time around.

August 26, 201510 yr I'm ok with one or two songs not having real drums but please not another full album!!

Yeah I really think the intro in particular could honestly be a new Coldplay song and I could imagine that first half of the song being a Coldplay song if they continue that pop style. Of course I would prefer otherwise, but still, it wouldn't surprise me if they do sound like this
August 26, 201510 yr oh... Coldplay just posted 2 tweets and I'm like OMG IT'S HAPPENING!!! But it turns out that it was just Chris promoting a show called '501 Things I Do in My Bedroom'
August 26, 201510 yr I don't want them to do this... but this song of Carly Rae Jepsen is really cool
