Unfortunately Rolling Stone isn't available here in the Netherlands, not on newsstands and not via the Google Play store or Apple Kiosk either.

I just tried to get it and the only one available is the Dr. Dre and Ice Cub issue and it says August 27. I do not see the new one on the Google Play store. Maybe someone else will have luck?

Is it out today? My local bookshop sells RS. I'd run down and get it now if they weren't closed.

I personally thought that they might drop the album on Johnny's birthday (September 11th), but that most likely is just pure coincidence that they are supposedly releasing the album soon. What do you guys think?

 

Also- I passed by the bookstore earlier today and couldn't find the new rolling stones edition... maybe it isnt out until tomorrow? :/

That's what I thought it said, but someone posted a link to the RS site and it said that the issue was out now. Oh well, more waiting I guess. [emoji57]

I can't see that being on the cover without at least a little piece of info inside, possibly a review of the publicly unreleased first single?

Maybe the guys will drop the first single the day the magazine is released? Or that's when we get our first announcement about it? All the "news" we've been hearing seems to be pointing toward September as a viable date for either a release or confirmation/details of a release

So... Adele just announced that her album will be out in November.

Macklemore just premiered new song.

I think that we will get AHFOD in the next few months for sure.

alright... we are getting there. i don't think even coldplay would go against adele :laugh3: so probably not around that particular week. but the key is, rollingstone seem to have known what they were talking about.

I think the fact that Rollingstone also says the albums are "must-hear" means they have some additional knowledge about the sound or direction of LP7. So I also believe we are close to some official news about the albums release.

 

This is the Rolling Stones magazine cover. If you look around the left of the guys head, you'll see it mentions Coldplay. At the very top right of the cover, the date of the issue is the 10th September 2015. So hopefully we'll have some official news by then of the new album! :)

 

Since it is labelled as a fall album, the official album will most likely be released between late September and late December.

Sometime after September 10th we'll get the album... I hope the article has some new details for us information-starved fans!!

They probably got first dibs on interviewing the band about the new sound of the album.

I adore the track titles but unless there are a few interludes this does seem a bit long for a Coldplay album. I'd be fine with a longer album (especially after GS) but the 42 minute "rule" is probably in place again. Besides, for me quality is better than quantity.

False alarm, friends. I just checked the RS at a newsstand. Nothing new, but really nothing at all.

It's just a few lines. Album date "to be determined, 2015". Then the quote abut Chris trying to make a more uplifting record and trying to perfect a happy song, like Pharell Williams (ugh....). Then the quote about the last HP book. Same stuff reiterated that has been around for half a year, how disappointing.
