Coldplaying Listening Party

Featured Replies

I'm pretty easy with dates, it is just times that are important (some days I can't stay up until 2am here because I have stuff the next morning). I am good for any times on the 4th, 5th, 18th or 19th. But I mean I can do the 11th or 12th if it is a bit earlier than the last Christmas listening party was.

I can't on February 11th.

The dates on Sunday are dependent on the time.

Is your time zone AEDT (UTC +11), ACDT (UTC +10 ½), or AWST (UTC +8)? That way we can plan the time accordingly.

mine is AEST so UTC +10 (no daylight savings here), thanks for taking it into consideration as well :) but I won't hold you guys back if you find a time that's really good for the majority of you.

Any day if it is during the day. My meds make me too sleepy after 8pm CST.

Sure !

How about one of these possibilities:

Feb 4

Feb 5

Feb 11

Feb 12

Feb 18

Feb 19

Feb 11 or the 12th are fine for me ! For the 12th on sunday, it depence what time the listening party starts, same as @Nie, because I also have other things to do that day :D.

So could we set Feb 12 as a date ? Or is there anyone who cannot do it ?

And then discuss about a time that works fpr everybody ?

i think that's a good plan *thumbs up*

So Feb 12 it is - this Sunday !

Now we need to figure out two things:

1. which time ? Let's find a common time by discussion ! Maybe somebody who is better than me at understanding different timezones can help ?

2. what to listen to ?

Post your choice among the following albums/playlist which have not yet been listened to at a Listening Party :

- complete B-Sides playlist

- complete unreleased songs

- AROBTTH

- MX

- GS

- AHFOD

- Live 2003

- Live 2012

- Live 2014

I vote for AROBTTH !

I'm not sure if I will make it, but here are my suggestions:

1. 10am or 11am EDT

2. Complete unreleased songs

@guy42 do you mean EDT or EST because I think the time zone they're in right now is EST. I'm so sorry but I am not sure if I can make it either I forgot just how big the timezone differences were (i.e. 9am EST =12am AEST) and I have to be at uni early the next day. Then I also forgot about this overnight camping trip I am going on, the day before, so I couldn't even do Feb11 now :/

You're right, it's EST. Let's just make it suit your schedule, because I don't think I will make it anyway. So maybe 8am EST (which would be 11pm for you).

Completely agree on both counts, though 11 EDT is my preference.

Oh, sorry. Didn't see this. If it's 8 EST, that is too early for me (7am). I can do anything from 9am CST to 7pm CST.

If we go with a playlist rather than an album, I'd be happy to put it together.

On the other hand I'd be happy if you discuss timezones between yourselves cause like I said, I'm terrible at understanding them :P

Personally, I have no plans for the entire Sunday, so any time would be fine for me.

Hi, I would like to join in if I remember this time lol.

Hmm... Next Sunday, any time from 12pm EST to 8pm EST would work for me :)

Those timezones...

I have looked up when we had the Christmas Listening Party:

4 pm CET+1

And that is at 16:00 in Belgium-Paris-Berlin-Amsterdam.

And 15:00 in London.

I hope this helps.

So maybe we can choose an earlier hour? Our a few hours later?

And this reminds me that I have to copy the Christmas files to my phone. I'm going to a postponed Christmas Party on Saturday and I want to stalk my friends with some nice Coldplay songs. [emoji1]

Btw, I have no specific wish for the setlist.

So since we have a huge range of time zones, I've come up with a plan which I believe satisfies the majority of us. It will be best if Germany is experiencing Midnight (pun intended) because @I ran away being a nocturnal human will be able to handle it better than anyone else. So I recommend 6pm EST Saturday - which would be 12am (midnight) Sunday in Germany, and 9am Sunday in Australia (AEST).

LOL

Well, there go my chances of finally becoming an early riser with a regular sleep pattern :D At least now I can tell myself the plan got sabotaged by someone else and it's not my fault ! Thanks a lot, guy42 ! :p

No, in all seriousness now: Personally I'm fine, but bear in mind it's also Midnight in other countries then (e.g. Belgium) AND if we go with the complete unreleased songs playlist, which currently has the majority (= 2) of votes, it Clocks in at about 100 minutes. Just sayin'....

Of course I'm writing this entire post at 00:22 now, that goes without saying :D

[spoiler=SPOILER 2]All puns intended :p

That works perfectly for me! :)

I know we all are going to have to be flexible about times. Guy42's plan is a good one, but it would be a hard time for me. Go ahead without me if everyone else can make it work. I will try my best.
