In other news, just bought tickets to the Not So Silent Night concert in the Bay Area. The Killers, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, and Death Cab? It's going to be incredible...not to mention I have tickets to see The Killers in SF the night after as well.

 

Two Killers sets in two nights = me being very happy. :)

i couldnt be at home when the killers tickets for the boston show went onsale so as of right now im not going because it sold out fast. im pretty upset because when i saw them in 07 it was one of the best concerts ive been to.

well i hope its good. im a big fan of their previous work and would help wash out the stale taste of keane, travis, oasis, razorlight and snow patrols latest efforts which, in my humble opinion, had two or three really good/great songs and the rest was absolute tosh. kings of leon's only by the night was the last damn good album.

it looks like the album is full of horns,from what i've heard its a very mediocre record.

there's nothing wrong about the horns,i love those instruments,but on this record are out of place

Day & Age is going to be phenominal! 2008 has been such a great year for music IMO for only 2 reasons; VLVODAAHF/PM and Day & Age.

Well, I'm looking forward to this... I think both Human and Spaceman are great. Different from their previous work (which I also like), maybe a bit softer, and using different methods, but I still think it sounds pretty good.

Well I listened to the previews a couple of days ago, and I have to say, I'm not sure I'm too excited about what I hear :sad:. I like Human and Spaceman though, so I guess its good so far. I like their two earlier albums almost equally (Hot Fuss has a slight edge), and I liked quite a few songs on Sawdust. But I'm not really convinced by the new sound so much based on those 30 second previews. I just hope they prove me wrong.

How do you know you don't like it if you heard a few seconds of it once and changed the channel "instantly"

 

On a related note, I'd say in general it's pretty hard to say how good/bad a song is going to be based on a 30-second preview, especially with the Killers.. try picking 30 second clips from anything on Sam's Town that represent the entire song

I've been resisting the temptation and only listened to the songs that they've performed live so far, so at least 5/10 will be new to me.

 

But ya Losing Touch sounds amazing, I can't wait to play it on guitar hero too :). I can't wait to hear the other two you mentioned, everyone has been saying how good they sound

I don't know why but I'm not liking a lot their new sound... I reckon though their ability to create something fresh and new (duh, you get what I mean don't you?)
