July 24, 201213 yr its sounds better than day and age so far. anything can top sawdust though. Sawdust had a few good songs: the singles, Bourbon, Pretty Faces, and the best, Sweet Talk. but the second half is trash besides Daddy's Eyes and the Abbey Road ST
July 24, 201213 yr Well the songs were leftovers after all, it's a collection of b-sides, not an album per se. The only thing that I'm kind of annoyed by is the re-recording of Glamorous Indie Rock And Roll and Under the Gun, I like the original versions better, othe than that t was a great time when Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf finally came to life, considering all the talking about it because of the Murder Trilogy
July 26, 201213 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMbyWSGYUgc]The Killers - Runaways - YouTube[/ame] the vid it's fantastic. just the band but with amazing visuals visuals
July 28, 201213 yr ...and I can't get into that song, Runaways. :stunned: I love it. in my top five TK songs
July 28, 201213 yr The song is good, the video is better, really like the visuals, fits so well with the music. The cover is OK, their previous were better (I love Sawdust artwork )
August 15, 201213 yr Battle Born Tracklisting: 1. Flesh And Bone 2. Runaways 3. Miss Atomic Bomb 4. Here W Me 5. Matter Of Time 6. Deadlines And Commitments 7. The Way It Was 8. Rising Tide 9. Heart Of A Girl 10. From Here On Out 11. Be Still 12. Battle Born
August 17, 201213 yr Seeing them at V fest on Sunday. Only going for them and Snow Patrol as the rest of the line-up is pretty shit. :P
August 17, 201213 yr Just started getting in to this band. Sam's Town is amazing all the way through. Hot Fuss is amazing for the first five songs and then after that it's just sorta eh (except for Everything will Be Alright). Then i tried listening to Day and age and its just really sort of generic and i feel the same way about Runaways. I just don't know that this band will ever get back to that bar they reached with sam's Town. :/ Sawdust is really good too. :)
August 17, 201213 yr Having finally heard it live, and I mean live in person at a gig, I think that's the proper Runaways dimension. I wasn't blown away when I heard it last month, it didn't have the impact When You Were Young and Human had (positive the first, negative the second), but having everyone singing it from start to end was awesome. They also played Miss Atomic Bomb and From Here On Out, and I don't think I can express an opinion on them after only one listen, especially because the sound was quite crap, Brandon's voice was drowned by the instruments. I was hoping they played Flesh And Bone because I've read a lot of people absolutely loving it, but they didn't. I have another chance in 15 days, hope they'll play it then. These are my pics from the gig, if anyone's interested, I took some only till half of the show, then just enoyed it
August 18, 201213 yr Just listened to Runaways. It sounds like they keep building off the themes in Dustland Fairytale. It's the "Springsteen-esque" type themes. I have not made up my mind if that's a good thing or not.
August 23, 201213 yr Have any other songs besides Runaways been released from Battle Born yet? We're talking studio tracks, not live recordings and such. After Mylo Xyloto I'd like to avoid listening to live versions before the album release...
August 29, 201213 yr [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXpcbLoGKv0]The Killers - Brandon, The Battle Born - YouTube[/ame] 4:20 - 5:30 is pure perfection. wish the actual version was like this.
September 3, 201213 yr I was at their show last night at Electric Picnic. It was just so good. I honestly loved the new stuff and the crowd seemed to too. They also did a cover of Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl.
