Interestingly this version gives you the choice between MP3, WAV and FLAC. All of them are the same price, so there is literally no reason to go for anything other than FLAC. If anyone from Coldplay reads this,ย please stop releasing new versions of Moon Music. this is the first time ive seen someone from this fandom beg for them to stop releasing stuff LOL
October 7, 20241 yr Man In The Moon is super catchy. I also like The Karate Kid. I like the atmosphere of A Wave, cool ambient song with those tribal voices.

I hope there will be a way people getting those extra songs in physical format without buying the main album a second (or third) time again... Edited October 7, 20241 yr by andrewsky
October 7, 20241 yr The Karate Kid reminds me of Life On Mars by David Bowie. It's an S tier Coldplay song and is easily the best song of this era for me.

There's now four versions of the album, which is a lot regardless. The way they released those four versions is really scummy though. As nice as the Notebook Edition voice memos are, if I knew that they'd be releasing a version with a whole live album (even if it is mixed terribly) and a version with bonus tracks that included A Wave, there's no way I would have bought the Notebook Edition. So when it arrived today and was the worst of the special editions I don't think you can blame me for feeling lead on by whoever is in charge of all this. If you want to have everything from the three special editions you'll need to buy the album three times. Then they double the price for the UK release and release two of the versions physically only in the USA, and can't send people the digital versions they paid for. If they were determined to release all four versions they should have announced them all at the same time and let people choose. I would have gone with the Full Moon Edition, since the Notebook Edition is now a bit pointless compared to the other two special versions. Or they could have made a bundle with all four versions together.
October 7, 20241 yr Dropping the Full Moon edition two days after the actual album is very strange, no doubt, and I can't tell if there's a strategy behind it. Even something like Flags was withheld from worldwide release for a year.ย MiTM, KK, and the alternate versions of the album cuts were perfect for an EP six months from now, as a Prospekts March type drop.ย Another hopeful option is that they're banking other material for MoTS 3 and this was just extra stuff from the MM sessions.
October 7, 20241 yr Not sure how to feel about the theory of yet another album version or EP. It's been a chaotic release schedule but I can't deny enjoying the ride.ย I still am hopeful for tracks like M.U.S.I.C, Opus No. 5, Earthling, 2 Aliens and more getting final releases at some point.ย I like the production style for Moon Music overall so I'd love to hear more material from the era. Man in the Moon feels like it comes from the MOTS/ The Astronaut era, which I also enjoy.

I need to sit with it for longer. But I'm extremely happy. I feel you bro, since viva for me, their best since viva, and that says a lot.
October 7, 20241 yr I will give my review of the album later (spoiler: I loved it) but I have two questions: first, why wasnโt Man in the Moon on the album??????? It may be my favorite on this record! Also, what the hell is the karate kid about? I know he is talking about the fictitious character Daniel, but he is saying I want to be the one for him? DOES HE WANT TO MARRY THIS FICTIONAL DUDE LIKE WHAT IS GOING ON IโM SO LOST???? Am I missing something or misinterpreting something please help Iโm so lost.

Ainโt no way these songs cannot co-exist (I mean both were still included as bonuses and no one cared that they were sort of similar). #JusticeforMitM

October 7, 20241 yr seems like MM had alot of cut content which they're now putting out. It would've made more sense to have just one EP or just one deluxe version with all those extra songs instead of these multiple versions. it makes it feel like a taylor swift tortured poets midnights cashgrab situation
October 7, 20241 yr I wonder why they choose to make the album just 10 tracks at this point. They could easily add these songs and make 13 tracks.ย

October 7, 20241 yr It was a joke, obviously. But with their marketing grab with two new editions after the Oct 4 release, I won't be surprised if theyย do that.
October 7, 20241 yr Man In The Moon is a decent song but the real star here is The Karate Kid. What a beauty of a song. One of Coldplay's best songs ever.
October 7, 20241 yr Moon Music if We Pray and One World and Good Feelings and FLIFIL didn't existย MM -Karate Kid - Jupiter - 2 Aliens - MitM - iAAM - Aeterna - All My Love - Neon Forest - Angel Song - A Wave
