All my love is a gift, even just the acoustic version I was like..seing an old friend but with New clothes, it feels old but with some modern touches. Idk how people are not talking about it a lot, people saying cos of Good feelings this record gonna suck, but they didnt even talked about all my love even once..like wtf. One of the most coldplay piano driven vibes we get in years aside from coloratura, and people just keeps complaining about 1 pop song, and its probably the only really pop song of the album. So already waaay better than AHFOD, MOTS and I think even Mylo and GS by now.

This was their first album I stupidly decided to pre-order in my 21 years of knowing them, and oh boy what a mistake it was. I don't have time to listen to the leaks but after hearing Good Feelings and FLIFIL I'm convinced it's going to be another sea of rainbow dust and confetti! It literally sounds like AI music. 

Does anyone know how you can cancel pre-orders (from their official website)?

Ranking what we've heard so far

1. One World - I am very much alone on this one I suspect but idk, I've always had a thing for ambient/choral/chamber music. It's been something I've loved since I was a toddler and Coldplay do it well. The fact this sounds like my favourite Nick Cave song doesn't hurt either. 

2. All My Love - based off the live version and the demo snippet (and the fact it's an EL outtake), I would be very surprised if this wasn't at least good. This has a lot of promise. 

3. We Pray - not really the sort of music I want Coldplay to make but if they must, this song is pretty much a best case scenario. It's been stuck in my head since I heard the live version. One of their better pop experiments. 

4. Good Feelings - based off the demo it's stone dead last, but the live version has an unexpected amount of pep to it which has gotten me slightly excited about it. I still don't think it's a great song though. 

5. feelslikeimfallinginlove - I'm surprised by how much I've grown to hate this. The snippets sounded fine, I was trying to convince myself it was ok when I first heard it. But in the weeks gone by I've enjoyed it less and less, and now I don't know if I want to listen to it again.

I don't get why people are being so negative about Good Feelings. The lyrics are not excellent, sure, but the instrumental is so good and funky. If you look for the artists that inspired Guy, this is right up his alley.

Exactly, its not even a bad song. Yeah its not amaaazing, but as a pop tune coming from them this better than a lot of other pop songs they did.

Lyrics haven't been stellar in MotS so I think it'll be the same for MM as well. 😄

This is a follow up of MotS after all and not EL. Heh.

Everyday Life is not exempt from cheesy lyrics either, no album in their discography is, in fact. With that said, I agree it was more well written than MOTS.

I've been mostly out of the loop from the forum, so has anyone talked about Neon Forest here? It reminds me so much of Chinese Sleep Chant, definitely a highlight.

The song is simple but strong at the same time

Glad it will be on the album.

 

I feel like the only thing that can save this album for me is the soundchecked song, it honestly sounded better than everything else we've officially heard.

In an alternative universe, I like to imagine an album with this tracklist:

2. Famous Old Painters (EL version)

3. The Only One

I don't understand the hate for Moon Music, but maybe that's because I only got into the boys right around when Everyday Life released.

Everyday Life demo/alternative version is such a good song. Its like a perfect mix of new pop coldplay with like viva coldplay..I wish we could have an album like 100% in this vein. But Im still optmistic with MM, think it will be their best since mylo, without EL, I think when we get the final tracklist for MM things will make more sense.

It´s all about taste and opinions, and maybe the last decade gives another perspective of their current direction. I thought Good Feelings would be more than a poppy summer thing, and the final part with the "lalalas" are kind of embarrasing for me. The fact that there are screen images of Ayra Starr means the video for the song is ready to go.

I think its more than fine to have just a summer pop song if its well done in that style, and at least for me sound less flat or bland than AOAL, they are in the middle of a more pop colourful tour, so I imagine that one song like this would happen, but the thing is, at least for me, I dont mind one simple pop song if the album have a lot of gems, which I still think its possible thinking in all my love, singapura soundcheck, neon forest and maybe even 2 more songs in that vein. Im just happy that this album will not be just pop all over again.

It´s not. We come from Feels like... and before that we got My Universe and Higher Power. Personally, I´ve have enough of "summer pop songs", because it´s not just that, it´s the style they´re in now. Again, I respect all tastes, but this is not everything they´re capable of.

Also, I don´t understand the high hopes for All my love, it´s a very ordinary song and if you compare it to any of the ballads they´ve done over the years, it´s absolutely forgettable.
