I highly doubt that lol, it was this week.

Love the Rolling Stone review, but it does confuse me about where the Tik Tok Vegas song fits. Doesn’t seem like it’s in the title track or AH/AR by their descriptions…

It does! AH/AR —-> “hymn like”

It seems to confirm that One World is indeed one long song (ie no hidden track).

In the midst of excitement I have to express some minor frustration with this Rolling Stone piece (and likey many pieces to come). 

I feel like critics have just not been able to make a solid assessment of Coldplay over the past decade. To some extent, I get it. MOTS is probably a ver mid album for most people. But you read these reviews and they talk about a lot of how cheesy Chris is and how the lyrics are a little too universalist and hopeful or whatever, but then just rubber stamp a 7/10. Idk, just feels like a cop out score. I wish people just gave reviews with strong opinions -- even if those opinions are negative. I say this because I listen to a lot of music and there's a lot of pop on par with Coldplay or even worse that gets more preaise and excitement around it.

There's just this taboo hanging over the band where people now don't want to say they are terrible but they also don't want to say they are great.

In the interview with Zane, Chris says that Alien Hits/Alien Radio is a preview of "the next thing". So MOTS3, maybe? 

He also said that AH/AR is a lyrical response to the title track

I hope one of the things they do after album 12 is that reworked X&Y.

Chris said they might release a reworked version on the 20th anniversary and in another interview he said he mess around with it on his laptop sometimes.

They also said they'd release all of their unreleased work, unofficially. I'd take anything he says with a grain of salt knowing how many times Coldplay have already released their last album.

He only talks about Max Martin as producer for Moon Music.

And by the way, I´m dying to hear the title track, the way they talk about its lyrics is amazing.

I know I spend hours bitching about their direction and last works, but I have to say there are few things in life that make me feel more peaceful than listening to Chris talk.

This time he's serious this is the first time ever he's reiterated ending at LP12 and has been stating it since 2021 too and even the band around him and Phil said the plan is to stop making albums at LP12  

LP11 and LP12 are going to be mega, plus we have a long way til' then, judging it's basically three to four years between albums, thinking next one will come in 2027 at earliest and then the last one in 2030 or even later. God bless Coldplay, we will have a lot of time with them yet!

I can´t see how stoping to make albums would work for them. I mean, I think it´s a way of taking off pressure from themselves, taking some time completely off and so, but someone as creative as Martin, someone that comes up day after day with ideas and verses and melodys and words... What is he gonna do with all that stuff? The way I see it, maybe after album 12 they give us some singles or EPs from time to time, but I really doubt it´s going to be reduced to tours, even when they actually mean it nowadays.

I think Chris is quite clear that he's referring to albums (full length LPs) and that they'll probably still make some music alongside the forever touring. Seems like a sweet deal to me. I like the idea of a complete body of work. Plus the idea of them revisiting unreleased stuff is exciting.

Sometimes I wonder if the near-constant touring and recording takes a toll on the band... What if Chris, as much as he may enjoy music, would really like to have a peaceful life running a farm in the Cotswolds opposite Jeremy Clarkson. He could sell his cows' milk as 'Milk of the Spheres', his lentils as 'Everyday Lentils', his beef as 'Viva la Beefa', and his honey as 'Yellow Honey'.

You can never know what the future holds. 

There are bands who have stopped making music and then 10 years later, come back with an album. I'm just glad they are not stopping completely. If they are still touring and making some music, there's always hope that a full LP might be in the cards.

I'm just surprise that they want to continue touring actually. I would have thought that they would slow it down and enjoy what they have achieved after album 12.

I see Chris doing a lot of different collaborations with other artists for awhile before making something 'full' with the rest of the band.
