September 30, 20241 yr Anyway, about the interview: Chris did mentioned the possibility of putting out unreleased material. Their post-LP12 era might be a lot more fun than we think.

And coming from Rolling Stone makes things particularly infuriating for me, because in this very year they gave amazing scores to many boring albums, like The Story of Us from nepobaby Gracie Abrams. I'm just glad they are not stopping completely. If they are still touring and making some music, there's always hope that a full LP might be in the cards. I'm just surprise that they want to continue touring actually. I would have thought that they would slow it down and enjoy what they have achieved after album 12. I see Chris doing a lot of different collaborations with other artists for awhile before making something 'full' with the rest of the band. I think they'll just handle things like the Rolling Stones, who spent 18 years without releasing a studio album (Blue & Lonesome is just a bunch of covers). LP13 will be very cool.

October 1, 20241 yr I mean, they released Prospekt’s March 5 months after Viva La Vida came out so I don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility they may release whatever MOTS III is in some form of EP to round up this era. I hope they do and Shine On (or whatever it’s called) is on it, as I’m a tad gutted it’s not on the album. It’d be great to see UFO ii, The Only One and 2 Aliens also be released officially, as well as A Wave.

October 1, 20241 yr If there was an edition with a new bonus track we'd know about it by now. I figured proper b-sides were out the window once they decided Aeterna would be on the album. My screening is less than 24 hours from now. Whether or not the album has leaked before then, by this time tomorrow I will have heard Moon Music. Excited! In the event it still hasn't leaked by then I'm happy to do an ama about it.

Why would they play an unreleased song like that while promoting the album when it's not even on it? So strange.

It was played during a street performance and recorded by a bystander here: https://www.tiktok.com/@lizandpat/video/7418341032506510624?_r=1&_t=8q4XZfQfsS8 We've titled it "Shine On" and thought it's a part of the Alien Hits/Alien Radio track on the album, but apparently that's not the case according to the people who already got their copies and listened to it. Someone on THAT site claims it's a reworked version of "From Earth With Love" and was cut from the album. Looks like we have another great song to obsess over. And a single recording of it like usual. Reminds me of that toy story meme where the kid throws away one toy for the other - The Race goes in the trash and Shine On is our new toy lol.
