So All My Love will be the final Coldplay singleโ€ฆ ever? So that means the musical and self titled wonโ€™t have any?ย
ย

Also, he doesnโ€™t seem to know whether self titled or MOTS3 will come first. But neither will be ready by 2025, thatโ€™s for sure.ย

Did a quick mix of iAAM, with Chris and the piano from the acoustic version and G+J+W from the album mix. It feels more Viva-ish to me this way.ย  Coldplay - I am a Mountain (classicplay mix).

I hope one of the things they do after album 12 is that reworked X&Y.

in the Zane Lowe interview, Guy say again that was a bad period, so i dont believe that.

The NME and Zane Lowe interviews are reallyย interesting. Of course, likeย they always have this very clean speech with elements of languages but we can understand someย small important information like :ย

  • "All my love" are are the final singleย ?
  • Moon Music are hardworked like a final step
  • ย  Chris speak about the next 11 album... but MM is not the 11 ?ย
  • ย  Jacob collier is an important regular contributor like David Rossi.ย
  • "The band" have a studio in Malibu (probably the Malibu Playhouse buyed byย Chris studio)
  • Chris and Moses listen a lot of Fontaines DC
  • MM expresses a negative awakening towards a day that turns positive, so MM should be a sad song.ย

Personally, I feel like Chris gets lost in love. He likes to say heโ€™s grounded and aware of many things, but heโ€™s still a superstar, and saying that love is the answer to everything is too easy when you have that level of lifestyle. Of course, his message is important, but Iโ€™d like them to be a bit more selfish and proud of themselves and their past.

Iโ€™m still not convinced by Max Martin's added value, and I feel like they no longer really know how to make music on their own, as if they always need assistance to release something. The band still seems friendly, but you can sense they're drifting apart musically. If they're happy that way, then good for them.

These interviews reinforce my opinions since the release of MOTS: there's this little scent of an ending; everything is maximized, the tour is pushed to the limit, the promotion too, and Chris is increasingly talking about another future. MM also seems important to him, perhaps a bit more personal than MOTS, which was tailored for the massive tour. Even if his speech is ultra-controlled, I sense a bit of relaxation and a personality thatโ€™s coming back more naturally.

There's always a song in every album after AROBTTH that is AROBTTH-esque but never is.

I think my expectation is too high. ๐Ÿ˜„ย

Yeah, back in the day I remember many people saying Champion of the World sounded like AROBTTH. I think this fanbase tries way too hard to compare one album or song to another. It doesn't need to be that way.

I'm also totally fine if they take an extended break. I'd rather them make a legitimately great album again without a larger-than-life tour (which I've never cared much about). Most good bands will take a break from recording at one point or another, and it's time Coldplay does the same.

I think some people said the Japanese bonus tracks were the alternate versions of We Pray but I can't confirm that's what actually on there.

Wouldn't it be 'hilarious' if the Japanese bonus tracks were all of the great cut Coldplay songs...

I've been told that they get the same album as us, and it's just a bunch of stickers as an extra in a certain Japanese record store.
Apologies, but I don't have the source at the moment.

To me it means that it is likely that the two remaining albums will be released all of the sudden without selecting some singles.

This is very interesting. Could you develop a bit more on why you think they are drifting apart musically? Thank you!

So i think they release their last album in 2030 and then they go solo i guess.

Its like he said, The Beatles just stopped and they where going solo.

30years is a long time, at some point, you just want to make your own work i guess.

I donยดt think any of them has the potential for a solo career. Chris of course is the one that can make a living writing for other artists, and singing his own songs, but he needs a band, I donยดt think their idea is to go solo.

ย I'm a bit confused by what you're saying, given that he's been crystal clear they'll continue touring together as Coldplay and that they'll revisit their back catalogue, do compilations, unreleased stuff etc. Not sure how any of that links to entirely separate solo careers? I can see Chris collaborating with other artists on the side, sure. But he's done that already.

Zane Lowe interview was a nice personal speaking of the band themselves. What i didn't like was band seems to see themselves in a place that they have a mission on another people. They love touching peoples lives and focusing on spreading love. But they don't have to. Because if you want to make someones day you don't have to sing about that. We don't always enjoy a song because it speaks about seeing life in a nice way or speaks about love. We enjoy it because we love the music. Because we love the bands musical style. I think this thing is what makes the lyrics a bit weak and repetitive.ย Band needs to trust themselves in music more than they do now. When they try new styles they are doing it great because they have that talent. But they shouldn't push themselves on trying to find new ways of music. Because what they did in the past was great. Why don't we like them again.

I have discovered Fontaines DC recently. That band is amazing. ROMANCE is one of the albums of the year for sure.

You are allowed to say leak by the way. The restriction is that you can't upload leaks or link to them on the public forum.

Soooo excited now. I know from what I've listened to so far (Feels Like..., We Pray and the snippet of iAAM), it will be better than MotS. ๐Ÿ˜„ย

I like EL but I never loved it. Has some amazing tracks on it but a lot of skips for me. Itโ€™s miles better than MOTS and I feel like Iโ€™m in the minority of people that like that album.ย

Stand out tracks for me are Moon Music, Jupiter, Good Feelings, All My Love and One World is Brian Eno and Coldplay magic

Here at the record store waiting to listen in T-minus two hours. Thank you for the info. ๐Ÿ™‚

Were there any rock type songs like People of the Pride? Is it more mellow than MotS?

Is Moon Music very AROBTTH-esque like someone mentioned?
