I can't find their latest album!!! Gah! I bought it a fortnight ago. Then took it to my gf's place. Then left it there. Then thought I lost it. Found it again. Took it home. Can't find it again!!!

I haven't seen the Heima DVD yet, but I've heard from three different reliable sources that it's absolutely incredible. I really can't wait to get it and see for myself.

me too! I've been obsessed with sven-g-englar and have spent a large portion of my free time coming with an effective setlist for a mix I wanna give my older brother who hasn't heard them before.

Can't say I've been to one but the resounding opinion seems to be that they're epic, I'd guess a half step below radiohead.

 

On another note though, what are your guys thoughts on their music videos?

All of their one's from takk era (glosoli, hoppipolla etc.) I think are just amazing but I can't stand the agaetis byrjun era ones...they're always nominated for for awards but I find them seriously overrated.

 

As for the latest album... I find the inni mer syngur vitleysyngur video pretty cool.

I was just listening to 'Andvari'. It's good, but it's ending was a bit drawn out, but I spose that's their style ey? Was still very peaceful.

I really want to see Sigur Ros live in Berkeley on October 3rd... there's no way I can get tickets, though. I might just get a ride to Berkeley and sit outside the Greek Theater. :P
