After waiting SOOOOO long to see them (bought the tickets last September as soon as they were announced), we finally got to see Coldplay last night.... and they were fantastic. My hubbies b-day as well :) Such a tight band, and Jon can even carry on playing guitar when Chris drags him down to the floor. Lucky it was an easy progression he was playing while laying on his back with Chris (no, no dirty thoughts ok?... they`re just friends :) ). Chris is the consummate entertainer/nutter. I think he must be easily bored so he`s trying to entertain himself as much as the crowd. Jumping around, chucking wild `shapes`, cracking jokes, running. It`s like he has a cup of spe…

What a concert they put on for the fans in Hong Kong!!! This was the first time Coldplay had played there, and they really made their fans felt welcome by adding Hong Kong in some of their lyrics during the show. For ex. during "What If", Chris sang: "make you feel like i belong.....in Hong Kong...." That made the show for me personally. I was lucky enough to get a ticket first row on the floor, and when Chris ran by us in the crowd, i was able to give him a little tap on the shoulder. During the break, Will came out to the front of the stage and took pictures of the crowd, and of course, a picture of me! Johnny and Guy were pretty calm during the show, but they still …

Well Im not a huge fan but I like them and have cds and dvd. Youth Group were great zI gave them a standing ovation, although the sound was pretty ordinary from my side on position. Its an old saying that you never let the support sound as good as the main act. The 40 minute break was too long. Then there was the non stop dreadful rap. Christ what torture, then the beatles came on and people knew it was about to start. On came coldplay, crowd went nuts, singing like crazy and didnt stop all night, great singing was commented on by Chris several times. Clapping was great. Fantastic crowd, sold out, thousand on the floor alone so in all would have been 15,000 id say…

I am sure that all of you whose first coldplay show was during this tour will disagree but compared to the AROBTTH tour it was crap. The shows during Twisted Logic tour were too planned, there was nothign spontaneous about them. If you look at the setlists for the shows they are all basically the same, they might have included how you see the world in there towards the end but it is always the same songs, the yellow ballons are always there, and the encore is always the same. Besides the fact that chris changes the lyrics slightly depending on the city, there is no way to tell the difference between the shows Also, does anyone remember gravity? what about ladder to the …

That was my first Coldplay concert, and it won't be my last. I am never taking my general admission armband off my wrist. Even if i can't bathe ever again. I was right up the front, on the right, could see everything. Tip for all: to get to the front, pretend you are meeting someone at the front. Look towards and point to your imaginary friend. If anyone is in doubt of you, a quick "there he is," or, "up there," will have you in the clear. Then when you reach the front and everyone realises, give them a big grin and put onyour bowler hat. My only regret iss I didn't bring a camera or audio recorder. Damn.

Hi everyone, This may have been discussed before but I'm wondering if anyone knows the song that is played immediately before Coldplay come on stage. It's a kind of hip-hop song that is played right after The Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows and segues straight into Square One. Thanks, Sullo.

London - Lead singer Chris Martin of Coldplay sang in support of Australia during a concert by slamming Italy whom Australia played against in the World Cup. Martin yelled out to the crowds during the show in Australia saying, ‘We f**king hate spaghetti anyway!’ contactmusic.com reported. He continued his rant by changing the words to the song ‘God Put a Smile Upon Your Face’ to ‘God give me style and give me grace, who needs a penalty in any case?’ Australia lost to Italy by one goal through a penalty. http://indiaenews.com/2006-06/13073-coldplay-supports-australia-italy.htm

Coldplay, Entertainment Centre, June 26 THE World Cup has lessons for everyone (apart from the key tip that cynical diving can gain a result). Twenty to 30 years ago there was a handful of elite teams, a slightly larger second tier who could occasionally trouble them and a large swathe of enthusiastic but outclassed performers who made up the numbers and dreamt. These days the largest group is the second-tier where, thanks to the globalisation of skills and opportunities, most of them can regularly match it with the elite, push them hard and, if opportunity arises, spring a (mild) surprise. There are a lot of good to very good teams. Here is the rub: there still is …
