Though it's a little early but I just wanted to put out the reminder that Coldplay will be performing live on the American Music Awards this Sunday, 23/11/2008. I wonder what song they will be performing live? I would love to hear Lost or Lovers in Japan but I think Viva La Vida will the song they will be singing. I will say that it is a safe bet that Coldplay will win at least one award. From my experience of watching this show the artists that perform normally win an award. Other scheduled performers are: Christina Aguilera - yuck! Beyonce - I know Chris likes her but I am not that big of a fan of her music Alicia Keys - I really like her music Pussycat D…

Does anyone know where I can go to get a copy of this song? I have found it online but it has a strange digital glitch that happens from time to time in the file, and I cannot find it on iTunes... Any help would be great, I love the studio version...

When 'LP 4' was announced, the original track listing was: * Lost! * Cemeteries of London * Violet Hill * Poppy Fields * 42 * Yes! * Leftrightleftrightleft * Rainy Day So, as I was saying, is anyone gonna order a set of MP3s in this way? (aside from Leftrightleftrightleft of course, which doesn't feature on Viva.. or Prospekt's..)? I know I am. I'm curious to know just how much different the album would have been had it not been changed at the N'th hour.

Coldplay tape their live appearance singing the remix version of 'Lost' featuring Jay-Z and release it as a music video for the remix. Coldplay have brought out a music video in support of "Lost+", the remix version of "Lost" which features Jay-Z. The video was shot at one of their live concerts. It shows the concert highlights including audience's high spirit. While "Lost" appears on Coldplay's fourth studio LP "Viva La Vida", "Lost+" is confirmed to be listed on their fifth mini album "Prospekts March [EP]". The EP is slated for release across U.S. on November 25 under Parlophone Records. Stressing that the songs in the EP are not throwaway tracks, bassist Guy Be…

I've never seen a picture of them smoking, but I guess it's possible that they do smoke, specially in this business. What do you think?

1.) Write one of the quotes that you get from the Glass of Water Fortune, and then write what song it's from! If you name a quote that comes with a song (like Life In Technicolor ii or Rainy Day) Put that song with the quote! I'll start... "Answers will come..." - Sleeping Sun

I'm curious. Does anyone know how made of these demo tapes were made? Also, how much do you think one of these would go for? Obviously, a lot. But I'm curious as to just how much?

Coldplay is out on the road with a Martin rig that includes the new MAC 2000 Wash XB luminaire. Touring Europe and North America in support of their new album, Viva La Vida, the show uses no LED screens or crowd imag at the band's request. Lighting, set, and production designer Paul Normandale makes sure of that, opting for visual impact from video projection and Martin MAC 2000 Wash XBs, MAC 700 Profiles, MAC 250 Washes and Atomic 3000 strobes. "Coldplay are a high impact band that require dynamic looks with lots of cues," Normandale comments. "The MAC 2000 Wash XB is used primarily as a rear wash light and is so bright it means I can use less than I would with oth…

Hello! I've now listened to samples from each of Coldplay's four albums and STILL haven't been able to find a song I'm looking for that's obviously by them. I work at The Gap, and it plays at least once every day. It's extremely an extremely beautiful, quiet ballad in which the music (mostly piano and a little acoustic guitar) is a little louder than Martin's voice. The best way I can describe it is it sounds kind of like raindrops. I absolutely love the song and have been trying for over a month now to find it....Does anyone have any ideas what it might be?? THANKS! John

Performing in Coldplay — performing in the world’s biggest band — could get comfy. Too comfy, even. For bassist Guy Berryman, though, the nightly thrill is intact. Even after all the massive stadium shows, all the mega festivals, stepping on stage still brings a tingle — that rush of blood, you might call it. “I don’t get nervous anymore. But I still get that great sense of excitement,” he says. “I love that moment right before we go on, that anticipation of the lights coming down. It never tires for me.” Coldplay is on a global tour supporting “Vida La Vida or Death and All His Friends,” the British band’s fourth album of moody, edge-of-artsy piano rock. In a ye…

I'm looking for a specific interview and after a load of searching I'm still stuck. The interview was done just before the release of Viva La Vida and included a specific part where Chris said something about summarising the album, and then proceeded to sing a bar or two of each song. I remember at that point I wanted to steer clear of hearing anything to do with the songs we hadn't yet heard, and so skipped over that part, planning on coming back after June 14 (the release date here in Australia) to check it out. Alas, I could never find it again. Any help would be much appreciated!
