Hmm..I'm undecided myself, but there are several songs on here which are just amazing; 1) Prospekt's March, wow. This song is just so calming, soothing, introspective, and beautiful. 2) Rainy Day, wow. This is so different, yet has the underpinnings of 2008 Coldplay--the strings pay omage to VLV and it is just an amazing. I was least looking forward to this song and now it is one of my favorites. 3) Life in Technicolor ii: do I even need to say anything here? It's billiant. As evidence I suggest you listen to it 1000x on repeat haha. 4) Glass of Water: Exciting, fast paced song. I mean, these 4 songs are better than a handful on VLV and I'll be listening t…

According to some rumors coming from Wikipedia and other sources not better specified, Coldplay will promote their latest release, Prospekt's March EP, through the launch of two singles: the first is, of course, Lovers In Japan, a kind of connection between this publication and the album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends; the second one, with great surprise, should be Life In Technicolor II (also in some way related to the fourth album since enlargement of Life In Technicolor). Were not given the date of issue at the moment. More details will follow. Source: Coldplayzone.it

London, England - Lead singer for the English rock band Coldplay stunned the music industry Wednesday when he announced that the band was breaking up in 2009. There have been rumors swirling about why the band decided to split. Those rumors were answered when it was discovered that Chris Martin's life is going to mirror the song "Viva La Vida", which was Coldplay's enormous hit this year. Martin dressed in regal attire explained to the reporters gathered outside his London flat that the song "Viva La Vida" was in fact his future kingly intentions. That as of 2009 the band was breaking up so he could finally rule his own country. He also told the reporters to refer t…

Chris Martin has given himself a deadline. Despite selling millions of albums, packing stadiums the world over and winning countless awards, Martin is concerned about his legacy. At 31, the Coldplay frontman fears that he may be nearing his peak as a musician and a songwriter. "We feel we have to do a lot for 2010," Martin told Insider with a tone of urgency, almost as if he had to jump off the phone and get back to the studio to work on new songs. We feel bands need to fill their first 10 years, so we have lots to do before the clock strikes midnight on December 31, 2009. I know it's kind of stupid, but that's kind of our deadline. We have to do something good by the…

http://nrjmusicawards.tf1.fr/vote/#/categorie9 Click on "Album international de l'année", then on the picture of Coldplay, and "vote" (on the picture). They have a great chance to win NRJ Music Awards. They'll show the program on French channel TF1 on 17th on January. You can also vote for "Groupe International". You'll do the same.

Quick question, how many of you actually believed a word of that? So why were so many people upset by the sourceless article going around about Coldplay breaking up? I posted this in that retirement thread, but thought it might do some people who would miss it some good to post it here too. Coldplay are not breaking up. The original post: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found the original article. (With a little help from the L.A.Times) CHRIS WAS JOKING, PEOPLE. (Seriously, though. Read it. It's hilarious.) Behold: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20240209,00.html See…

I rather liked this acoustic version of Viva La Vida.... [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lio0YbTi87g]YouTube - Coldplay - Viva La Vida (acoustic) on iTunes[/ame] reminds of us of what a beautiful song it is! (it remains my most listened to of the album, and nearly six months on, i can't get this beautiful melody and thought provoking lyrics out of my head!). It's the song of 2008 for me!

For those of you who can receive the 4Music channel, be watching on 13th November between 10 and 10.50 pm (4Music Presents...Coldplay). It says in the paper that there will be a songs and interviews showcase for the biggest rock band of the Noughties (songs from Viva La Vida etc). I can't actually receive this channel  but I think that they normally repeat these programmes on Channel 4 the following week *fingers crossed*

Okay, so I saw a thread on here right around when VLVODAAHF came out in June. It went something along the lines of this: The new album can be looked at at two different, essential parts: Viva la Vida 1. Life in Technicolor 2. Lost! 3. Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love 4. Viva la Vida 5. Strawberry Swing Death and All His Friends 1. Cemeteries of London 2. 42 3. Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant 4. Violet Hill 5. Death and All His Friends/The Escapist So where would Postcards from Far Away, Glass of Water, Rainy Day, Prospekt's March/Poppyfields, and Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground fit into this? Any thoughts? And what about A Spell A Rebel Yell and Death …

I got a tour program from the 2 concerts I went to in San Jose and Vegas from the Viva tour.Throughout the program lyrics are all over the pages written in paint. There is a full page with the picture of the boys where they are sitting on the couch. And on the sides of the 2 pages are blue paint with lyrics written in white paint. Most of the words are pretty clear but as you know Chris handwritting can be hard to read.I was wondering what song this could be.I know its not Glass of Water cause those lyrics are on the previous page and these lyrics dont seem to fit. Some of these dont seem to be the full sentence of lyrics as you can see in the first line. But heres what I coul…
