Inside Entertainment was able to preview 8 new tracks from the new album, most importantyl "Swallowed By The Sea" which the sun called "Swallowed In The Sea". They also spoke of how the band gave up financial bonus' from the record label to get extra recording time. Then Martin had a burst of energy to write an energetic angry song...im assuming (twisted logic) as he says it is the last track on the album. Has anyone worked out any of the lyrics from the new songs? Or found them someplace else? All of the songs are great sing-alongs, but its a little hard when you're hearing the songs for the first time live and you can't make out all the bits to sing! :D

I heard the live version of this song, and im not so sure on it. ya it sounds pretty good right now, and i know it will be amazing once we hear the studio version. but i dont know, to me it doesnt sound right for the first single, i just dont think it sounds like the song to bring people back from such along break. i am hopefully wrong, but of all the new tracks it is actually my least favourite. I personally think this is going to be the album title. im almost sure of it. today on the radio announcement, chris said that they had a song "Square One" that has totally shaped the rest of the album. Well wouldnt that be what a title does, shapes the album? Plus it sounds really cool, im really excited for this song! Also, he said it was designed to be played live, and theyve said they have a song to lead of their set and album with that had "intent" similair to Politik for AROBTTH. Who thinks a message is such a beautiful song?! I heard it live, and i cannot wait until the new cd comes out because this song will sound incredible on the studio version. Im really looking forward to this song, and i liked it more then the other ones i heard, although they were also pretty good, and i was pretty happy to hear new coldplay material that will actually be on the cd.

There's so much going on everyday in here and out in the news about the band, its really an exciting time to be a Coldplay fan. Just thought I'd share :rolleyes:

I have promised myself that i am not going to download any of the new Coldplay songs at all. I am going to wait until the album and the single comes out to hear the songs. Anyways, I am really curious about the song What If. I have heard it is so good. Is it really one of their best songs and if so why? Thanks

Really nice song. Quite remeniscent of early U2 - especially the guitar riffs.

I've just heard a rumour that coldplay have split...does anyone know if this is true? i checked NME.COM, but the main story is still about Ian Brown fighting in the US.

COLDPLAY have titled their eagerly awaited new album 'X&Y'. The LP will be out on June 6, and will be preceded by a single,'Speed Of Sound', on May 23.

Is the song X&Y really 8 minutes long? That would be amazing but I have never heard such a thing. Can somebody confirm this?
