Pretty pretty please listen to this song. It's by a young, undiscovered indie band I LOVE called A Change of Season. It's called "Lake Street" and it's a brilliant song. Im trying to help them get discovered, and I want to share their wonderful music with the world. If you like it and want to hear more, PM me or post it here and I can upload more. Please give it a try: http://rapidshare.com/files/126474441/02_Track_02.m4a.html or you can check them out here: http://www.myspace.com/acosmusic Thanks!:D

  4. From £3.5m for the Stones, to considerably less for Rick Astley, booking a favourite act for your own intimate gig is now all the rage, reports Imogen Edwards-Jones Monday July 7, 2008 The Guardian For all the sneering that the recently hitched Mrs Wayne Rooney endured from the style police concerning the dress, the guests, the magazine exclusive and the groom, she managed to get one thing right. She booked Westlife to play at the wedding. Not that Westlife are hip, cool and stylish. They patently are not. But by booking a private gig, Coleen has joined the long line of A-listers, billionaires and oligarchs who like nothing more than shelling out for a priva…

  5. This is not a true mid-year Top 10 list. The Grammy Awards, as noted last week, are ending the year a little early, with the eligibility period for next year's awards coming to a close Sept. 30. What follows is a look at some of the more notable releases of late 2007 and the first half of 2008, and how they may fare come Grammy time. Some are major efforts from established artists and others, while Grammy long shots, are simply albums deserving of more recognition. Ten albums are discussed in this post, and five were mentioned last week. Any favorites you want to highlight? Please share in the comments below. And click here for a look at some of the notabl…

Has anyone listened to this George Harrison album? It's brilliant, what a fantastic album this is. "Isn't It A Pity" is such a beautiful song, and I think Chris Martin said that "The Scientist" is based on it. Anyway, I can't stop listening to this album, what are your thoughts?

Am I going mad by listening to more and more folk music these days? Both from the 60's and from the modern folk revival?

The headstone of Ian Curtis, the lead singer of late 1970s band Joy Division, has been stolen from a Cheshire cemetery. Police announced today that the theft occurred between Monday lunch time and Tuesday morning at Macclesfield Cemetery on Prestbury Road. The headstone carries the inscription "Ian Curtis 18 - 5 - 80" and the words "Love Will Tear Us Apart". It has little material value, but the stone has become a beacon for Joy Division fans who have visited the town on pilgrimages from all over the world. Police officers suspect it may have been taken by a fan of the singer. A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “It's an unusual theft, it's probably a good p…

Hey guys... just thought I'd pimp myself a little bit. Feel free to hit BACK if you don't want to listen to member music. I'm getting ready to release an album with my band: http://www.myspace.com/themodernantiques It's kind of a mix between Wilco and Death Cab/The Postal Service but I used to be wholly inspired by Coldplay. So there's got to still be some of them in there too. Check it out if it sounds interesting to you! Tyler

I was just on iTunes and I saw that Miley Cryus was on the top 10 charts. I'm very open to music so I listened to the 30 second preview, and I'm almost totally convinced that the United States simply does not produce ANY good artists anymore. Sure we have Moby, Joe Satriani, The Beach Boys and the like, but they were way back then. Even the early '90s hip-hop was good, but now? I just don't know. We're coming out with all these untalented people who call themselves musicians. First it was Soulja Boy or whatever and now it's Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, I'm just starting to lose all hope. All this is happening in America while Britain has Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse and the l…
