Ugh. I hate this band. I don't know why I dislike them so much. And I have given a listen (I mean, who hasn't? They're everywhere!) They just annoy me... And that music video they have, 'When September Ends' or something--that gets on my nerves... Hope there's no Green Day lovers here! Lol.

Bono and Chris Martin have both admited that Bob Dylan was an influence in their music. Which is very obvious when you hear the similarities of "changes in voice" and how sound goes along with the lyrics. Also poetry is used. Music history is showing that this style of sound and lyrics all come from Woody Guthrie and other folk and country singers. Maybe some people will say they like Coldplay but not U2, or say they don't like Bob Dylan or U2, but they like Coldplay. That is expected. i was listening to some instrumental music by a band called Explosions In The Sky and do listen to some instrumentals by Placebo and Muse ... some i like ... others i find a bit kind of incomplete like they need to add lyrics a nice thing about them is that they give you a lot of freedom in how to interpret a song and what it is about ... anyway i just wondered what everyone else thought ... do you listen to any instrumental songs, any you recommend or find any boring? :D
