'Help: A Day in the Life' will mark the 10th anniversary of the ’Help’ album in 1995. Okay, first off, sorry if this has been asked/answered already, but I looked at all the threads in here that might have what I'm looking for, but I couldn't find anything. Please don't flog me. :stunned: Anywho, I have the mp3s of the performance, and I absolutly love the version of The Scientist that they play, but my question is... at the end, there's a new arrangment type thing. What is this? Is it a recording? A real performance? What's the story? Also, the crowd starts going wild during this part as well. Did the just feel like it or was the band doing something cool? hey does anyone have a bootleg of a concert elvis costello did around ^^^? apparently at the end, he quieted down the entire theater and it was absolutely dead silent, and he sang a couple of songs a capella and you could've heard a pin drop......my dad would love to have this concert, does anyone know if a bootleg exists? btw---elvis costello's real name is declan mcmanus...funny, eh? peter

I just wanted to express my undying gratitude to the people of this thread. I didn't realise such a fantastic community of people existed who share bootlegs out of the goodness of their own hearts. I was at Glastonbury 2005 and for ages I've been looking for Fix You and Can't Get You Out Of My Head from the set. Shockingly I got the whole set! Lol. Anyone really inspired by any new artists at the moment? Got any recomendations for someone into similar music? (Who else reckons I'm gonna get flurry of myspace links?!). Been listening to the Arcade Fire album that Chris said he liked on Jools Holland the other week and it's amazing...otherwise I think a band called Guillemots are worth checking out as they are a bit like an experimental Coldplay, and really into Richard Hawley, who I saw supporting the boys once....can sound quite 50s but beautiful songs and just something really captivating about his voice (check richardhawley.co.uk if you don't believe me!). So some on, those are my suggestions...what else should …

I just thought about this recently. The Beatles released Rubber Soul in Dec 1965, and Revolver only 9 months later. Sgt. Pepper's came out 10 months later and Magical Mystery Tour only 5 months later, and so on until Abbey Road. That's 7 albums in 6 years, each one inarguably a masterpiece. Only a few bands have even one masterpiece album, let alone 7 in 5 years. And if one band happens to have more than one, they don't come out year after year after year. Just another statistic about the Beatles that blows your mind. Not really sure what this has to do with Coldplay, but I'm just giving props to the boys from Liverpool.

(The other thread was put in the wrong forum so this is an actual one) People have the annual hate-fest when these awards come around, last year especially, but I think MTV deserve a leeeetle bit more credit. I thought the show was quite wild, it wasnt a spontaneous bunch of surprises that was promised but it was alright, definately better then last year.
