  3. This photo of U2 lead singer Bono, shot during U2's Rose Bowl show on October 25, by amateur photographer Bruce Heavin, was taken with a Canon PowerShot G11, and is representative of the high-quality pictures that ticket-holders can easily take these days at concerts and other events with point-and-shoot cameras. Note the people in the picture snapping their own images of Bono. (Credit: Flickr user Bruce Heavin) At last month's huge U2 show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., how could you tell the difference between the professional photographers and your average amateurs? Answer: the professionals were the ones whisked away after Bono and friends finished the…

i searched to see if there was a thread about these guys and didn't see one so i figured i'd get the ball rolling. i just sort of randomly found out about these guys (saw their video for 'apply some pressure' in american eagle a few months ago and went straight home to d/l everything by them), i adddore their sound. i checked out their tour schedule on their website and it looks like their doing a buttload of shows opening for the bravery (which would be such a fucking great concert!! i juuuust saw the bravery a few weeks ago! wish maximo had been there then) anyway, they are great. hope others agree!

music groups that were formed/established when you were born? music that your parents listened when they were you age? i'm just curious about it, i do listen some bands that were established just the same year as i was born, bands that are still on: Manic street preachers, radiohead, cypress hill, no doubt, roxette. and i am curious also about the music that my parents listen to. i've realised that goes the same with other artists that i like... most them were born in the 70's, and i see most the music they say that had influenced them are 70's bands and bands of their first teen age time (80's). i wonder if it goes the same for you coldplayers. feel fr…

I had this idea and didn't opened a thread yet. (and i wonder why nobody else has opened it  ) I've checked some free bands that there are on last.fm, ones are better than others, the good thing is that there is a wide range of styles so everyone can choose the ones they like most. so far i've downloaded different tracks of more than 100 bands (ones offer complete albums, others just a couple tracks :uhoh:) so if any other coldplayer does the same, why not talk about those bands and let us know new musicians. ;) -- If more coldplayers will introduce us to other artist i'll update this first post listing and linking the bands we'll be discovering.

Hey there! Has anyone here ever gone to a concert and came out as a different person? A Life-changing experinece sort of thing? I know, it may seem like a strange question.......but I'd love to hear all your stories about priceless concert moments, the ones you can just close your eyes and relive. For me...it was when I went to my first concert ever, which was U2. And like, just when the lights went down and they opened with City of Blinding Lights, and how everyone just had so much energy and sang along... And I guess it's really something special, when it's a band that means a lot to you too. Like when I saw The Verve...and especially when i saw My Bloody Valen…

  16. The last few years I have made this thread and it seems to have been successful and enjoyed. It's basically a thread where I talk about some albums of the year that maybe you haven't listened to or heard of. I usually have a Canadian bias, so you're not just going to see U2/Muse/mainstream crap in this thread. Maybe some of these will make it into your final album list like Hey Rosetta! and City and Colour did last year. Timber Timbre Bruce Peninsula The Most Serene Republic Young Galaxy

  20. what's up coldplayers, I made this not too long ago for a contest and thought it'd be nice to post it up here for all of you to check out. it's my arrangement for dre and snoop's classic "Nuthin but a G Thang" - I built it around the original synths that were already in the song, which you can hear during the bridge and chorus. then I gave it new drums, a new bass line, and of course guitars! check it out. hope you like it  Dr. Dre feat.
