Since we are nearing the end of the decade (woot 2 months to go!) it's time to discuss and reveal your top 10 (or 20 if you're keen) albums of the decade that is, between 2000 and the end of 2009. Although hard to compare to the 90's, this decade has been very fruitful for new music. It has seen the emergence of electro-pop, Indie new-wave and Hip-hop as extremely popular genres. My friend got me into this band, they're a "Brechtian punk cabaret" duo from Massachusetts. I would call them "gothic" in some form but apparently the singer hates that, so I won't. A whole lot darker than I normally listen to, but they're quite good; "Gravity" is one of the best songs I've heard recently. Their music videos are quite good, too. I've only really listened to the first album so far, my friend says it's the best. Good stuff.
