Kaiser Chiefs

And the Kiaser Chiefs keep saying their better than Oasis, and they've captured the hearts and minds of britain. News for you, Oasis's is far better than you in so many ways, and the Arctic Monkeys will go down as the band that captured the youth of this generation.

This man speaks the truth.

Kiaser Chiefs, when will you learn that your music has already been written, with far better social commentry by a band called Blur. Blur also had far superior lyrics and melodies, an intresting and unique way with guitars.

Never Miss a Beat, to be fair looks like its written by a 5 year old.

They've got the dialogue thing going there but its not quite as good as

.

:laugh3: to me it seems like they were just talking to a 5 year old and asking him a list of questions

"what did you do today"

"emm..i did nothing"

"it's cool to know nothing"

to which the responce should was "fuckin' yasssss!" but they left that bit out

I like the line 'what do you want for tea' I want crisps.

I like it because I could come up with a better one, and I don't have a multi million £ contract.

Anyhow... Kiaser Chiefs used to set their demographic at indie kids on the dancefloors... now they're going for 5 year olds running out of school with their Ipods.

yeah i think that they've one more chance if you know what i mean..people could say "yeah this one's rubbish, but we all make mistakes so lets give them another chance"

..but if they make the next record as bad/worse i dunno where they will go next.

To the skip with the ting tings hopefully james ;)

They couldn't even sell out Leeds Stadium, to their homecoming show

:laugh3: can keane join them? (i can't stand them :laugh3: ...just my opinion obviously) ..is their new album good? like for keane fans?

Lots of Keane fans, and I think the bands really got talent but I find Tom Champlin way too choir boy... I mean whats more rock and roll that writing songs about nursery rhymes with a dark twist and having an addiction to anti depressants.

Nothing about Keane is intresting, but they can pen and have penned many a pretty tune. May they continue to do so, but perhaps being well M.O.R as they evolve.

The new album is on my christmas list... so ill let you know if I hate it. The other 2 are alright singles wise but I dont think they do albums, I think they write some singles and some crappy stuff.

actually the kaiser chiefs's drummer sings better than james blunt....

true!^^

Im gonna see them in 5 weeks!

who can tell me who's the chick @ the computer in that video ?

I love the Kaiser Chiefs! they have such a cool way of combining snarky social commentary with nonsense songs and fun beats... they are brilliant and tons of fun to listen to. Each of their albums has a very different mood and feel to it... I love that their latest one has so many dance-y songs and boy were they ever right about "if it's a waste of brains, you've got to do it, if it's a waste of money, you've got to have it."

Great, great band.

Any Kaiser Chief fans?

I just came across a Kaiser Chief's video "Good Days Bad Days" on an imeem playlist (http://www.imeem.com/jukebox/playlist/7cAEh1Vf/bitish_invasion_video_playlist/) with a Gorillaz video and Oasis. I really liked it - but I'm not too familiar with their stuff. I downloaded the song from their newest album "Off with Their Heads", but I'm not sure about the other tracks. Any fans of the band that can enlightenment me?

Try the band index before making new threads.

I listened to their second album. Thought it was decent. And then I never listened to it ever again. And don't plan on it either.

threads merged

The Kasier Chiefs are reportedly planning go on hiatus after their last single 'Good Days Bad Days' failed to make the Top 100.

According to the Daily Star, the group have decided not to release any more singles from their Mark Ronson-produced LP Off With Their Heads, fearing that they have become overexposed.

"There was huge excitement when the Kaisers and Ronson confirmed they were working together," a source said. "It was a dream pairing. But perhaps it came a little too quickly. For a long time you couldn't turn on your TV and radio or go to a festival without the Chiefs being in your face. Even the most ardent fan likes to be left dangling in anticipation."

The Leeds band were also snubbed at this year's BRIT Awards. "They are taking time to reflect, take stock and enjoy life away from the limelight," added the source. "It's certainly not the end of the road for the band. They want to come back better than ever."

I totally agree! The first two albums were great, I actually thought their second was better than their first, I loved it, but their 3rd album was mediocre at best, 'Never Miss A Beat', while catchy, was a pretty poorly written song and nothing too exciting, and 'Good Days And Bad Days' was OK, but yeah, they need to 'reflect'

i think the band would be much better of doing alot more touring than they usually do. instead just stopping and going on hiatus. their good run was eventually going to run out. it seems like most bands are struggling to pull off solid 3rd albums. the killers lost alot of support after Day & Age. in my opinion coldplay's 3rd was their weakest. same with interpol, oasis and a handful of australian acts. i don't know the reason but i hope that alot of my favourite bands who are approaching their 3rd release dont follow the trend. the arctic monkeys, arcade fire and Jet.
