I'm actually not that much of a Gatiss fan, though I know I'm almost completely alone in that view. All of his stories (The Unquiet Dead, The Idiot's Lantern, The Lazarus Experiment, Victory of the Daleks and Night Terrors) contain some kind of reveal, but it's not an "omg" moment like in a Moffat episode. They always resolve how I'd expect them to, too.

 

If there's one thing Gatiss is good for, it's that he nails historical episodes more than any other writer of the new series. He's just a bit... boring.

 

His Sherlock work however is masterful.

I want to buy some fabric to make TARDIS. It might take some time. :P
