February 28, 201115 yr Thinking of getting tickets for their Edinburgh date in September. Only thing is tickets are seated from the back. Never attended a concert standing from the back of the arena so does anyone know if it's worth it? Anyone help?! After the experiences I've had sitting a long way from the stage (e.g. Coldplay at the 02), I wouldn't bother. However, you should make up your own mind whether it's worth it. One thing's for sure - as The Arcade Fire are so good, Canada can be forgiven for producing Justin Bieber!!:P

Found a couple closer to the stage through crowdsurge via the band's website but even with the ticketmaster deal I would have accepted them.
March 1, 201115 yr Seeing all 3 Chicago shows, then they are bring The Suburbs home to The Woodlands. It's gonna be awesome!

Unfortunately I wasn't too familiar with them when they played in the area a few months ago, but it also came at the wrong time (right on top of something else). I'll definitely catch them next time, though.

March 1, 201115 yr You've already missed their best years. Having listened to both "The Funeral" and "The Suburbs" several times now, I reckon the latter is superior, so I don't see how that could be the case.
March 1, 201115 yr Mark the Hipster! :laugh3: I do find it interesting, it seems most people who were fans of Arcade Fire pre-the Suburbs like either Neon Bible or Funeral more than the Suburbs. But for people who became fans after the Suburbs, the three albums are pretty much interchangeable in terms of what they will chose as their favourite.

March 1, 201115 yr You've already missed their best years. Calm down people, only jesting (but also deadly serious). Bizarre thing to say. More than capable of topping Funeral.
March 1, 201115 yr I'd put them under pre-suburbs. Ohh fuck! :laugh3: Should have re read your post! Don't know why I was just thinking of first time round (Funeral) fans. Anyhow - surely Neon Bible isn't as good as Funeral or The Suburbs!

March 2, 201115 yr I'm a Neon Bible era fan, but Funeral is way better than NB and The Suburbs of course, I can't explain why but there's a big difference in my opinion, even though I really like the other 2 albums too
March 2, 201115 yr I'm technically a Neon Bible era fan, since I got into them a few months before the Suburbs. :awesome: But funny enough, Neon Bible was the last album of theirs I bought.
March 2, 201115 yr I liked them before "The Suburbs" was released, but "The Suburbs" was what really got me to love the band. How am I supposed to classify myself? :uhoh:
March 2, 201115 yr I'm a Neon Bible era fan, but Funeral is way better than NB and The Suburbs of course, I can't explain why but there's a big difference in my opinion, even though I really like the other 2 albums too If any album has got a better opening two tracks to it than Tunnels and Laika I have yet to hear it. It's a tough choice. Musically Funeral is probably better but The Suburbs really grips me in a nostalgic way which Funeral doesn't.
March 2, 201115 yr I don't know which I like better, but I've noticed that I tend to listen to the Suburbs when I'm in an Arcade Fire mood rather than Funeral. I love both though.
March 2, 201115 yr I agree with that. Although there are quite a few people who prefer Neon Bible to Funeral. like me!! at the moment this is how i rate each album Neon Bible - 9.4/10 (second favourite album of 07) A brilliant alternative rock album. Easily the most guitar driven of all their albums and has this awesome looser feel to it which really sits well with me. But the darker moments on the album are what really define it. Funeral - 9.3/10 (third favourite from 04) Originality and quality songwriting is sky high on this album. Any album with a song like Wake Up is freken good in my opinion. Why is it second? I just prefer rockier music. The Suburbs - 8.9/10 (6th in 2010) To be honest the only way i could've been satisfied with this album was if it was better than OK Computer (aka my all time favourite album) so my expectations were insanely high. not surprisingly i was a little let down but still, this was one incredible album. Why is it the worst? the concept of the suburbs didn't quite appeal to me.
March 2, 201115 yr I hate the production on Funeral. Songs are great but Neon Bible wins because it sounds more amazing. yknow.
March 2, 201115 yr I became a fan not long before The Suburbs but I prefer Funeral to the other two albums.
March 5, 201115 yr You know, in hindsight, The Suburbs was a lot better than people gave it credit for. All the work they put in the with the videos and the lyric mp4 version and just the music in general was all very well put together. The album has that whole sense of nostalgia everytime I listen to it now. Even the weaker songs on the album are worth listening to.
March 5, 201115 yr THE SUBURBS SUCK ARCADE FIRE IS NOW MAKING GENERIC ROCK MUSIC LOL THEY DIDNT DESERVE THAT GRAMMY LOL lol LOL lol LOL
