Arcade Fire

The long album is kind of terrifying me. I loved the suburbs, but the length kind of ruined it as an album for me. It was just a few songs too long. I just hope the fact it's a two sided album will help to break it up a bit.

Yep. I discovered them thanks to Chris mentioning them in X&Y era interviews as an influence (or notably in Toronto 2006 "God gave you style and led you higher/God gave you the music of the Arcade

Yeah I got into Coldplay first and then slowly started getting into Arcade Fire. Once I started to realize their similarities and that Coldplay toured with them during the LVL era, it made me become a

Yeah, I followed a path similar to yours. I am a big fan of VLV and MX (the "midplay" era, ahah) and when I discovered that Coldplay mentioned several times AF as an influence during that period, I st

they are on right now

the entire performance was awesome, particularly all the special guest cameos such as Bono, Michael Cera and Ben Stiller, James Franco - the list goes on...

based off of how the songs sounded I think Reflektor will be one hell of a record!

Here Comes the Night was really good. Normal Person was brilliant. Reflektor will be amazing.

All 4 new songs are mindblowing to be honest.

Here Comes the Night Time is just so happy and carefree and it's just perfect, and when it gets fast I just want to jump around my room!

Normal Person is cool rock, with an epic piano/guitar line and the lyrics are pretty clever.

Afterlife has that same chill, Caribbean vibe to it. Love it.

And the bassline to We Exist is funky, groovy (and obviously reminiscent of Billie Jean) and the na-na-na's are epic.

How did they get Bono to do a non-speaking 5 second bit? I don't think Bono's ever done a non-speaking anything.

for anyone who missed this gem of a special

HERE COMES THE NIGHT TIME.

A bad review: http://www.clashmusic.com/reviews/arcade-fire-reflektor

‘It’s Never Over’ is this band’s best TV On The Radio impression, and ‘Porno’ almost goes G-funk: a pleasant surprise. But undercooked electronics, impotent rhetoric, too-familiar crescendo-ing structures and an overall feeling that this needs further post-production attention render ‘Reflektor’ an entirely substandard album.

I think "Supersymmetry" needs to be a collaboration with Muse

So far I like the new songs in this order:

1) Here Comes the Night Time

2) Normal Person

3) Reflektor

4) Afterlife

5) We Exist

I love all of them, but this is how I'd rank them:

1) Normal Person

2) We Exist

3) Reflektor

4) Afterlife

5) Here Comes the Night Time
