its an interesting concept, absolutely nothing to do with the song but looks cool. Wheels i guess is just your typical fooey's song but i am getting a little tired of that sound. i love the stuff they did in their first 6 or 7 years as a band but everything since has been very much same same (aside from The Prentender) which for me personally makes their older work a little less interesting also. but Dave will always be the coolest rockstar in the world.

If it's so hit and miss, can you tell me what songs/albums are the hits and which I should just avoid? Because I'm curious and would like to hear some of their music (I've only heard a few songs), but I'm not sure where to start. Thanks. :)

My opinion is that the Foo Fighters are too hit and miss to really recommend many albums. The only album I enjoy all the way through is The Colour and The Shape. Other than that album, I find all the rest to be spotty. I would recommend the live acoustic album they put out a few years back. That was pretty darn good. The song "Razor" makes it on pretty much every playlist I've ever made.

well the boys have their new album Wasting Light out April 12. they've released two songs already.

 

the first White Limo has a really queens of the stone age feel to it and is some of the heaviest stuff that foo fighters have ever done. and i've never heard dave with such heavily treated vocals. still sounds pretty awesome.

they've also released snippets of a few other songs. they're doing a million different festivals this european summer starting in May.

White Limo is cool! Rope is pretty dull though!

these guys will be THE BAND to see live in 2011! they've inflated their shows to 30+ song sets meaning they don't miss out on any of their big songs and they can improvise a lot. the new album has some of their heaviest material to date and they're saying this might be the last chance they get to rock out hard before they get too old to do it. so make sure you pass up an opportunity to see them even if you're not much of a fan!

Their new album Wasting Light is absolutely amazing!! I can't stop listening to it! I like every single song. The only one I don't like that much is White Limo, very heavy :P

Really like the new album, been listening the entire past week. Not really a fan of "A Matter of Time" or "Back & Forth", but the rest is their most solid output in quite a while. Looking forward to seeing them whenever I can this year.

im not in love with the album as much as everyone else but i've heard all the tracks live and they all sound amazing on stage. so i can't wait see them live later this year.
