Gwyneth...

Featured Replies

I just don't understand why there's so much to hate. I feel like Chris and Gwyneth are one of the most misunderstood celebrity couples out there.

On a random note, I had a very vivid dream a few nights ago that Gwyneth and I became BFFs and I went over her house all the time and she gave me clothes. And I would get very embarrassed whenever Chris was around and couldn't look straight at him because he was too beautiful .

How I wish even one tiny part of that dream were true :P.

Your dream reminds me of the well-known way how a love story is told. ;) Must have been a great dream though!

@ the person saying Gwyneth is boring but I don't even know that person:

:dozey: Do you have to shut your eyes because of boredom Gwyneth spreads in your opinion or because of your jealousy? :inquisitive:

Well ...

I don't blame you on wishing part of it was true! :D

I just saw on a website that Gwyneth was at a function at the Seinfelds in the Hamptons, two nites ago.The article said she stayed very low key and refused to be interviewed.

I dont blame her. It's gotten to a point that no matter what she says,it gets twisted out of proportion. The hatred is unbelievable

I don't get why people hate her so much  But all the tabloids twisting her words whenever they can, can't possibly be helping :\

Bethenny Frankel: Gwyneth Paltrow is Unwatchable

gwyneth-paltrow-bethenny-frankel.jpg

Gwyneth Paltrow keeps cool in a pair of denim cut-offs (with pockets showing!) on Tuesday, August 11, in The Hamptons, NY.

The 36-year-old actress has been posting videos of herself cooking on her website Goop.com but Bethenny Frankel finds it pretty unappetizing.

“The idea of Gwyneth being the next Julia Child is unthinkable and probably unwatchable,” says the 38-year-old Real Housewives of NY star. “I once watched her show [spain…on the Road Again] with chef Mario Batali. It was like watching delicious paint dry.”

Adds Bethenny, “I’m just not feeling her as the next Rachael Ray, who’s fun and goofy and a wing-it kind of girl. Wasn’t Gwyneth macrobiotic, then vegan, then into juice fasting? You need to be willing to dive in and taste it all and not always be on some cleansing fad diet… Who can afford holistic doctors, meals at Babbo, cupping sessions and healers? If I buy my food at Costco and get my hair done for 30 bucks, what’s the average viewer able to afford?”

I don't know who that woman is, and by reading that she's a "star" on Real Housewives of NY I can't believe anyone would give a crap on what she has to say :dozey: Gwyneth looks beautiful as always :nice:

I do agree with this part...

I know Gwyneth has good intention to guide women for better living and all, but suggesting all the expensive stuffs and places has put me off a bit..

But of course that's not enough reason to hate her.

But then again, if she recomended stuff that could be afforded by "normal" people, she would possibly be tagged as condescending and fake. It's impossible to please everyone, and even though she could keep a normal people's budget perspective, why would she?? That's certainly not her or the way she lives, it would be painfully obvious that it's someone else's ideas, just signed with Gwyneth's name. I can't stand her dieting advise but other than that I really like the newsletter, looking at the pretty I'll-never-be-able-to-afford clothes, her nice recipes and fancy hotels and stuff like that.

Well I guess it depends on the targeted readers..If she's aiming for the higher class women then they can much more relate to things that she write about compared to a middle class person like myself.

I think the reason why I'm not such a big fan of goop is because I can't relate to most of what's written..

But I guess maybe a tiny weeny part of me that I usually do not want to admit that makes me feel that way is my envy towards her..She has a life that many would kill to have..

And having Chris at the same time? Man this woman is just greedy! :P

I totally agree with you on that, I think the problem of the newsletter is that maybe she's not clear on what her target audience is, she's just throwing random information that she's found useful/interesting/fun without really paying much attention on who is gonna be reading it and how useful it might be for that specific group of people  ............. Just thinking out loud here :P

I don't think I really envy her, maybe because I don't have a particular fixation on Mr Martin :P or maybe because she has paps always surrounding her, and that would annoy the crap out of me  If anything I think I would probably envy any of the other Coldplay-wives a bit more, they get the nice life AND annonymity :nice: which seems like a sweet deal to me :P

I agree...Like I said before, she has good intentions, it's just maybe she approached it kinda in a wrong way, or maybe it's just me..I don't know..

Yeah Marianne and Chloe kind of have the perfect life being the other half of the Coldplay boys..Some women are just damn lucky it's unfair

Those Real Housewives shows are just train wrecks. And the women on them are so far out of touch with reality anyway, how can anything they say be taken seriously. And who cares about their opinion anyway? They have no real staying power, and just go around making a bad (or worse) name for themselves. "Real" my ass...

Or maybe it's us who insist on reading her newsletter when it's painfully obvious that we can't afford that kind of lifestyle

Exactly, they're so lucky :wacky:

People on those kind of shows are attention ho's to me, so I don't really care what they have to say anyway :dozey:

I do hope Chris hasn't been with her in The Hamptons this week, I was kind of hoping they were all spending the week in The Bakery rehearsing some other songs to play at the stadium gigs...:uhoh:

Well, that picture was on Aug 11, so he may have still been getting over whatever he had and resting before flying back to London. Flying when sick is miserable.

She is so cute!!!! I have to agree with Dianne that he most likely stayed in NY for awhile, Gwyn probably had to fight him to stay in bed.:D

I was just reading an article about the opening band Kitty,Daisy, etc and they said something about Gwyneth It was cute...

The superstar rock band arrives at venues via helicopter so Kitty has not seen much of them. But she did get to meet Chris Martin the other day and his famous wife, Gwyneth Paltrow. “She’s nice,” Kitty said of the actress. Although the young musician isn’t old enough to legally drink, or attend nightclubs, she manages to do both. “They’re really nice people,” she said in regard to Coldplay. “They get us gifts. The other day they sent us champagne.” Um, isn’t 16-year-old Kitty too young to drink? “Not where I come from,” she deadpanned.

^Pretty nice!

And yeah, in my country when you reach 16, you are legally allowed to drink.

Gwyneth you BASTARD skinny bough mate i want not you obtain here like you did MARTIN

I don't think Gwyneth is a bitch because Chris wouldn't of married her if she was. I think people can't find anything wrong with her so they make shit up.

Ignoring the usual "emaciated wife of pasty white MARTIN" rant here...

I don't give a crap about whether this person is "jealous" or not, she has a goddamn point. Plus, those detoxes are moar detrimental for you than beneficial.

"sigh" she is only human
