    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

Yay. At least they haven't forgotten how to play those 8-year-old songs :)

Listening to Birds and :

And in the end

We lie awake

And we dream

Of making our escape..

The dreaming of escape will keep you up at night..

Around here you never want to sleep all night..

Continuity :dazzled: I love it so much when they do thing like this ..

In English lessons we're reading The Great Gatsby and today we also talked about the use and meaning of colours and how lots of things are yellow in the novel. All I could think about was Coldplay obviously [emoji16]

The Chris Martin Carpool Karaoke video has a like-dislike ratio of 144, one of the highest I've ever seen.

Made me watch it again!

Made me watch it again!

Same lol. When I started watching it, I couldn't just stop in the middle!

A sort of a teaser :

I went out for dinner today and the restaurant played AROBTTH! The whole album! :cheesy:

I've been away from Coldplaying for awhile and sadly I am unable to attend the closest gig to where I live. However, I was surprised with a spectacular gift to celebrate my graduation from high school... drumroll please... :will::will::will::will::will::will:

Tickets for my dad and I to fly out to the UK to go to the Glastonbury festival! Apparently my parents had purchased them back when they first went on sale while I wasn't at home. I just about died of happiness.

I can say with 100% certainty that my first Coldplay gig was the greatest concert I have ever been to. Unbelievable energy, even with the Everglow mishap and the horrendous mud! :awesome: The Viola Beach tribute was touching and Barry Gibb's appearance was a very fun moment! My dad was a Bee Gees fan back in the day so he really enjoyed that. Chris' family singing Up&Up prompted a huge "Awwwwww!!!"

You may think the Xylobands are awesome from all the photos and videos of them filling up a stadium, but there is nothing quite like the feeling of actually being in the midst of those thousands upon thousands of wristbands glowing in the dark. It still gives me goosebumps thinking about it.

I guess I can't really objectively say that it was the greatest Coldplay gig of all time (they didn't play Car Kids). But I can subjectively say that no Coldplay gig I have ever watched or listened to from the comfort of my home has had this kind of energy and emotion.

Now with that out of the way, I truly do feel bad for slipping away from the forum in the past several months. Nothing against this amazing community, I just took a bit of a hiatus as family issues began to pop up (everything has been resolved now, don't worry!) and the stress of finishing off high school began to creep into the picture. But I'm back, and more proud than ever to be a Coldplayer!

Earlier today, some guy started clapping loudly at a reasonable pace then Strawberry Swing started playing in my head. That's my "Coldplay song I'll air instrument" for the rest of the day now (along with IMP) :guitarist::drummer:

One of my Xylobands has been glowing and flashing on and off since yesterday morning. This morning a second one joined the first - feels like a disco right now ;)

But it is weird - why only 2 of my 7 (6 concerts plus one "rescued" from the dirt)? And why the second one a day later?

That's funny, I would like to see my Xylobands glowing and flashing as well :)

But I don't think the mystery will ever solved, unfortunately !

Someone who was in my year at school 10 years ago saw Coldplay twice during this tour in Denmark, judging by social media, and he just messaged me out of the blue asking if I saw them on the tour (probably because I Loved his status updates) so I explained about my Wembley show. I loveee bonding with people over our love of Coldplay!

Also, I made a cue card for a uni presentation I'm doing, which is Yellow (although I have other colours in my pack of paper).

Viva La Coldplay!
