RunForTheHills
Also notice how the letters MCR stand out in the title. Then cast you're minds back to last week when people were complaining that Death & All His Friends sounded too much like a certain band. Coincidence? I think not! Starlight
Maybe they got inspiration from this picture too! :D :P
ApproximatelyInfinite
conspiracy theories! :laugh4: oh goodness. i have to say that i don't think coldplay would ever say "die the death" (what i think the other bit in the title says) no matter how dark VLVOD will be. gus
theres a lot of coincidence names do you ever heard the game called: dear or alive.
edward_kingdom
Actually, X & Y is also a similar name if you think about it... It's about the opposites such as the optimistic Viva La Vida or pesimistic Death and all his friends!...
42rock89
When i read this at first, I thought it was going to be either VLV or DAAHF, never noticed it was actually going to be called both of them together, seems a bit wierd to me but I cant say I dont like it, it will grow on me. Pseudonym
All my friends just say 'oh right...you like Coldplay...' and then change the subject. Or they say 'Right...Chris Martin's hot.' :P My friends make fun of me for liking Coldplay cuz they think Chris Martin's voice is too high. Maybe they just dont know good music. After all they dont know who Jimi hendrix was and if you played them anything by any British band theyll tell you to get out of America.
Napoleon
I still wish it was 42, Famous Old Painters or simply Death and All His Friends.
Shaftell
Same here. Death and All His Friends sound so much cooler.

42!
I'm not suprised there is a song called "Glass of Water", because isn't this album suppose to about how you look at things?
Napoleon
Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends sounds like a contemplation by the band as to what the actual title will be, rather than an album. Either that, or a double album.
Guest kmm1482
Everyone's been quiet today! Hopefully that will change with Chris' article or more in depth LP4 news today! :)
Marcoldplayer
Sad-eyed piano enthusiasts Coldplay announced details about their new album Viva La Vida. Expect a bevy of singles to hit MTV within the next few months and play twenty-five times a day for the next eight months. Bizarre factoid of the day: frontman Chris Martin’s (10) great-great grandfather William Willett (11) invented daylight savings time. Now, when you show up to work unreasonably early or late twice a year, you know who to blame: Coldplay. ApproximatelyInfinite
^:laugh1: sadly, i do do that. but not really "blame," per se. i have to say that the name is growing on me, as i knew it would. i still think they had better things to choose from, but it doesn't sound as lame now as it did last week, i guess. they know best, of course. it's just not something i'd name an album. Guest kmm1482
throughout the years I'm positive that die hard fans and general public alike, have at one time or another given a now classic, a large amount of grief. Look at Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. I'm sure every Beatles fan back then was thinking the same things we are about this one. The guys know what they're doing! They've heard the themes and melodies and overall sound of the album, we haven't! Let the album come out and then IF you still believe it, you have every right to talk all the crap you want. Tnspieler1012
Since Martin's great-great-grandfather invented daylight savings time, does anyone find it amusingly ironic that there is/was a thread in the lounge devoted to blaming the americans for DST? I do.
