i

think

ye

be

a

troll!

goodness what are the odds of this happening

some stranger comes along with an explanation about how theyve heard violet hill early

do they have any relations to coldplay that we know of? no

does anyone know anything about how this came about? no

before you all "but there's a big explanation!" me, let me take you back to april fools day, where on a forum i pretended that i had broken my arm. well fractured but anyway. the explanation was simple: "i was riding on a bike with my friend going fast as one does down an empty street. unfortunately there was some uneven pavement ahead. my friend slowed down to go over it and i didn't. i hit the next slice of slightly-higher-than-the-previous-pavement and was flown off the bike. landed on my arm hard, pain, fracktured it"

so many bloody people fell for it

why should this be any different?

THAT IS EXACTLY RIGHT. I was thinking the exact same thing when I read it but didn't know how to explain in a reply. thanks.

Here's Animals.

the video is kind of... well, strange and a little funny but here's the song. :) eeenjoy!

the funniest part of it is probably boyband scenes and at the end with the other guy all sad while chris is having a great old time

you got chris martin'd bitch!

Hahaha, you know it! BAM in yo face.

After the final chorus, there's the end, a coda of 35-40 with Chris only on the piano and singing low. Here his voice is delicate but not mellow. Seems to express he's broken inside, sadder and lonelier than ever, and the song slowly fades after the last word and note and dissapears into atmospheric as well, bringing you loneliness but strength.

that part gives me chills.

but i believe it. i mean its very believable and if its not real i dont care anyway... it's just another description... none of it really matters until we actually HEAR the song. but it was cool to hear from this mystery person!

Yer, i spose we'll find out whether it's true soon enough.

20th April...I'm thinking we'll hear something this week. Maybe tomorrow? Monday...start of the working week etc.

Fingers crossed ey?

Does anyone remember whether they told us about the artwork of the album before they released SOS.

I mean...wait, surely they did, because we all heard SOS on the coldplayer - which was made up of the X&Y style coding.

So...I reckon this week we might get some explosion of information...maybe.

I bet we finally see the 'new' site this week as an introduction to the single release

that part gives me chills.

Where did you hear that description from? I haven't seen that one yet

Yeah, I don't believe this. Sounds like someone has too much free time on their hands.

You know what?

I think that we should just believe him. I mean, we WANT to believe him, right? Doesn't everyone want him to be telling the truth?

And he says he IS telling the truth.

That should be good enough.

Thanks bro. Can't wait.

Yeah, I don't believe this. Sounds like someone has too much free time on their hands.

I know many of you are not going to believe me

The chorus is the same that Rolling Stone explained.

However, the song does not start with the jagged guitar Rolling Stone said, but with an atmospheric intro of about 15-20 seconds very Eno-esque. Then the guitar and piano begin to sound. Their riffs are heavier, faster and louder than ever.

Chris voice is his low voice of the Parachutes era, but seems to be just stronger, muscular, not delicate till the end of the song. Not a single falsetto note here.

You'll recognise very well this part of the song: bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam (six or seven times I think).

There's an intermediate guitar bridge before the final chorus, a continued riff

After the final chorus, there's the end, a coda of 35-40 with Chris only on the piano and singing low.

all of you will be able to hear the song, and it's sooner than you expect, you'll know it's true.

Hard to believe someone can make that stuff up. These kind of leaks happen all the time and there should be very little reason to doubt this person has heard it. I don't know why everyone is being so skeptical, but surely we will hear it soon enough

It shouldn't really matter if they're making it up - it cant be that different to the song itself. Fake or not, it's gotten us all excited in which times like this can only be a good thing.

I'm not sure who or what to believe anymore...

Oh believe me, someone can.

If Ian says this is true, then it must be so.

Amen.

Yeah, I really really do hope it's true and like to believe it is cos it gives us a little hope, you know.

I was looking back at the pages in the Coldplay section from the last couple of years or so today* and 90% of it was just so negative. The past couple of years everyone and anyone, including fans, have been talking about Coldplay (Chris especially) like they're this evil that must be destroyed. To be honest reading it all it's hard not to get disheartened.

But reading this description is just so exciting. It seems they haven't disappeared up their own asses, they've focused and from the sound of it they've made something mature and different.

So whilst it very well may not be true, I choose to believe it is because it's nice to have a little optimism for once

*I know this is a poor way to spend a Sunday afternoon, but I have shingles and so can't actually do much at the mo :P

Yea i think unlike many bands one thing that i think they want to make sure is that they evolve their sound on each album.A lot of bands make the same music on every album which isnt a bad thing. But its nice to see a band evolve their sound over albums. You can really see it with Coldplays albums.By the sounds of Violet Hill an other tracks it seems that we will hear them at their peek of exploration and their sound growing even more.

I can't tell anything more about the way I heard it, I'm afraid. I was advised not do it.

Only I will add that overall the song must be around 4 minutes long (but I coudn't check my watch to verify).

No, sorry. I'm not english nor american, and I was more focused on the sound than lyrics, the few times I could listen to it

this person said s/he heard it via iPod

S/he said s/he could not check the watch to verify

S/he listened to it a few times

So...how come she or he had the chance to listen several times the track and yet s/he is not aware of the lenght of the track? I mean, s/he listened to it via iPod, and the ipods show the length of the songs dont they? heard it several times and she or he wasnt able to take a glimpse into the little screen?

between thousands of songs an ipod can store, the only track from the new album was Violent Hill?

If she or he heard it then she could easily forward the tracks, and see what was the next song, maybe there was another new one haha

For me its a fake

this person said s/he heard it via iPod

S/he said s/he could not check the watch to verify

If s/he focused on the song instead of the iPod screen, maybe s/he just didn't think to look at the screen. The screen probably went dark after a few seconds anyway, like it does with most iPods. And maybe when s/he said "watch" s/he meant "clock" or "timer"... after all, English isn't their first language.

Your point is still cause for reflection, though.

believe the description or not - same fucking shit!

we are days away to hear it ourselves

However, if the owner of this incredible site decided to post such information is because it could be very very certain.

anyway, i thank the lucky poster to give me something to think and talk about on our way to the official release of the single.

Viva Coldplay!

cheers!

Viva Coldplay!

 "Long Coldplay"?? :P

anyyyyyyyyyways. I don't know what this guy has said to Ian,

but if he says it's true then, so be it.

that's as good as Jesus going live on TV and announcing the realism of the bible.

another story I belive may or may not be true.

both that story and this story have simarlarity's. but i won't go into religion today

Ian = God of Coldplaying.

I like to think I'm the Mary Magdelane of Coldplaying.

I'm not a whore, but really a womanlike man that...slept with jesus?

okay I'm not mary magdelane.

but i AM very bored.

and i'm not sure where I'm going with this....

OH!

will everybody PLEASE stop putting "s/he" of "she/he"

:) it's immensly annoying, almost as annoying as this post, i'm sure you'll agree
