InYourHonor
How was security yesterday? Can you only bring a camera with 3x zoom or do the allow 10x zoom too? And if I'm there at 16:00 I can get pretty close to stage? What if I have to go use the toilet? Will I get back to my friends? :P
Ahlem
Hey all, Hope you enjoyed the gig. I'm off to see them tonight. Will be there early, around 13:30 Question though... at what time (approx.) were the front sections near the stage 'full'? My sister will be there around 16:00 hrs, and she wants to know if she can still get into the front? have fun :D
evadekker
Hey there. I'm going to the concert tonight, jeee. But can anybody give me an indication how late the concert ended last night? I really would like to know that, in case of buses, trains etc....

nancyk58
I am translating the article http://www.gelderlander.nl and have problems with the word rouwrandje (so has Babylon translation tool - it wrote the word again in the English field). Google translation tool suggested "a mourning border?" Could a translation of "rouwjandje" be "Wailing Wall" - "randje" alone should be something like "edge", and here it then should be something like "Wall". Please help. Thanks in advance! Can you Dutch - for then I would send the lines to you as a PM. :) Before I post the translation (6 paragraphs).
nancyk58
http://www.gelderlander.nl/voorpagin...cle5492670.ece Translation of the above article - review of the Coldplay concert in Nijmegen, The Netherlands on 9 September, 2009 Nobody goes away disappointed with world band Coldplay Wednesday 9 September, 2009 | 23:30 | Last updated: Thursday, September 10, 2009 | 16:56 IJMEGEN - Would you recognize Coldplay's bass player on the street? Very unlikely. Coldplay singer Chris Martin has become hot. Even more hot than U2's Bono. Yet Coldplay is just as popular as the biggest band in the world, perhaps even bigger than U2. Coldplay is a band for the whole family, young and old can be found at Nijmegen Park. 120,000 people will attend Coldplay's two concerts in two (consecutive) days at Nijmegen Goffert. At 19 o'clock on Wednesday there were long traffic jams on highways around Nijmegen. On the A50 direction Nijmegen, the traffic jam had a length of up to 13 kilometer. Also on the A15 and A325, traffic was stuck at the end of the afternoon. On the route Arnhem-Nijmegen via the A325, many motorists were stuck in the traffic for two hours. Due to the traffic, the Coldplay concert began somewhat later. The mobile telephone network was down, hundreds of meters of the podium were still full. Chris Martin who looked a little pale today, could save/spare his voice: The audience sang, word by word, along to all the songs. But Martin did not spare himself - from the first minutes the sweat was dripping from his face. He ran around, played guitar, sat moving on his piano stool and took the occasion to say a few words in Dutch, i.e. the words "good evening", "thank you" and "sorry, my Dutch is not so good", learned by heart. All the Coldplay hits were played, and there are many of them. There was good singing-along to the British band's hits. Yellow, Fix You, Clocks and The Hardest Parts were all played. That would really be enough to make a successful concert, but in addition Coldplay had costumes, a huge backdrop, interludes and an additional instrumentation. For people on the far field, there was even an acoustic version of Trouble and Billy Jean by Michael Jackson on a separate stage in the middle of the field. The only thing it lacked was a wailing wall? (rouwrandje = mourning edge). It remains up to the good/brave and directed side, although you may wonder whether such an wall (such an edge - rouwrandje) fits in this mega-event. MartinFan
It is thought by Jews to be the most sacred of places, because the temple itself was thought to be the place where God resides on earth. Praying at the Wailing Wall signifies being in the presence of the Divine.

That's a very literal translation! When you say something has a 'rouwrandje', it means there was a feeling of mourning surrounding it. I don't quite understand what that has anything to do with a Coldplay concert? :P Edit: aah, because of Billie Jean.
