I don't think it was bad, but the machines blowing the paper bits were too noisy, it drowned out the music. That was rather irritating.

It's probably one of their worst performances... He sounded... not so good. They should've done Violet Hill.

Not a great performance in the least. The mix was a bit lacking, especially in the strings, and Chris was, erm, off-key. Perhaps trying to put a bit too much energy into a more retrained song. Redeemed maybe by the other boys' singing.

It was Viva la vida.

Great moment when all the guys started singing the "oooh"-part.

THAT WAS CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AHHHHHHHH

Did you see Jonny's guitar?!! :D:D:D:D

Umm... that was okay, I guess.

Will they be performing again or are they done for the night?

hmm

i think the performance was alright...

it's just got a little boring with the set-up they had on stage.

will was a little limited with only two timpanis.

you can't really build much with that.

It was pretty shaky but the music sounded great...the part with all them singing was GREAT! Chris was very nervous. He looked into the crowd at one point and you could see his face was like...gah is it over yet??

I mean, over all, not the greatest performance...but it looked pretty cool..there was confetti falling...too much probably....

Well, they had to get their first live performance out of the way somehow...

Eekk, how disappointing.

Would still like to see it though.

All that paper coming down was stupid though indeed. First landing on his head, than getting into his mouth, forcing him to get it out. It looked stupid and it was just *too much*.

can't wait to see it

they should have done VH, Chris was nervous, (I was nervous!!), and the paper blowing things were SOOO annoying!! i think poor chris almost swallowed one towards the end!! >.<

Are there going to be anymore Coldplay performances or anything? Otherwise, I'm just gonna turn this crappy MTV off...

over ?? that was fast.. how did the audience react ?

yeah you can turn it off, they're done. unless you wanna see Pussycat dolls :P

Anyone uploading?

I'm looking forward to see that "simple" setup on stage at their tour though.

It reminded me of the "Till kingdom come"-scene on their past tour.

shoot i missed it! im really hoping its not nearly as bad as all you are saying. can someone upload it as soon as possible? and also are they performing again tonight?

Chris seemed a little nervous and worn out by the end but I thought the band sounded great and It really picked up moment in the middle of the song. Over all not too bad. It did have me wondering if they shouldnt have sang VH instead but, I love these guys and with some more practice VLV should make a great live song. Especially when we all join in! Oh oH oh ooooh OH OH!

ps The paper machines were very annoying! To much paper and too loud! Stuck in Chris's mouth and on his forhead...

I see you live in Roanoke, you don't go to VA Tech by any chance do you?

Nah, I'm still in high school, but it's about an hour away.

And that was a pretty awesome performance, I like that their outfits really aren't that out there. Chris looked like he was enjoying it way too much!

And lol at him getting confetti in his mouth near the end. :laugh3:
