IT WAS BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

:DD

and right after the performance the itunes commercial came out :D

IM SOO HAPPY!!!

tell me really - was it that bad!!!???

'cause I was considering breaking my "Not to listen to Coldplay" promise until Viva La Vida comes out or leaks - but if the performance was so bad, I think it's better to continue with the promise...

oh man, that was a bit...worse than i was expecting. the music was great ,but chris's voice...man, was he terrified-looking. talk about seeing the fear in someone's eyes.

i LOVED the way they pulled the song off, though! mulitple instruments, and the BELL!

i wish chris wouldn't be so scared though. of course, this is their first performance, so i think we'll all accept it and let it slide, but the world...might not be so impressed

Also, that's a song where the crowd needs to be involved, and a film awards show isn't exactly the place to do that.

It just seemed... flat.

that was so awesome. The fans arent Coldplay fans, most of them probably like rap and hip-hop. You could tell Chris was nervous as hell, his voice cracked like 6 times. Also we saw all 4 of them did the "Whoooaaa" part, mainly Jonny tho. It was brilliant overall, and that 4 minute performance just got my mom to realize how cool it will be to go see them live. If the Hartford show is even half as good as that I will die and go to heaven:smug:

Yeah, it was pretty bad.

Chris' vocals were not good.

it wasn't that bad lol. it was really good, i thought it was beautiful, i almost felt a tear in my eye. don't be so critical, just enjoy it.

they still have that special duet coming up right?

Come on guys, it's not a desaster, calm down!!

Chris' voice wasn't perfect, maybe VH would have been easier for the first live performance after such a long time indeed. But hey, they did a good job.

I heard there were red and white roses... my friend just told me on the phone because my stupid self missed it!

Honestly and Sadly, this was the first time I've EVER been disappointed by one of their live performances.

;[

but its all good, they are still coldplay and have my respect & support 100%

yeah, it wasn't bad just not GREAT...the setup looked cool...and Will was banging those kettle drums like a mad man...

I think Chris couldn't get his groove on standing up like that over the keyboard..he needed his piano and stool...

I really hope its not as bad as you guys are making out

I know, it's horrible hearing all these bad things and not being able to judge yourself.

thats was blindingly brilliant. they got a standing ovation after the performece

i was pretty nervous about it in the beginning.

chris did seem nervous and shaky, but it picked up.

answer my question pleeeaasseee....do they still have that special duet coming up?

i loved it, the crowd loved it...don't listen to the negativity it wasn't bad.

I thought it was very good. And who gives a damn if the media doesnt like it? Screw them theyre just a bunch of paparazzi jerks anyway.

I havent yet said this, but this seems like the perfect timing:

Viva Coldplay:D

UPLOAD???

anyone???

they were nervous alright... but it was their very first live performance... how cool is that? too much confetti stuff, Chris was spitting it out! I still was excited for them! So they are using the keyboards. Wished they used a live string section! I think the confetti brought the house down... too distracting! Whoever set that one up was a screw up! They should have used more lighting techniques instead! Or confetti that catches the lights! Just my opinion! :)

I don't think non- Coldplay fans will be impressed after that performance, I hope it doesn't get much coverage though...

I thought the set up wasnt that bad it really made them appear as a true 4some, a band. Ya, know. I especially liked the projection behind them.
