I don't think Will was pissed at Chris...he might have been pissed that the mix was off, or not quite right

Pissed as in drunk?

ATTENTION PEOPLE WHO DID NOT SEE IT:

SOME PEOPLE LIKED IT, SOME DIDNT. DONT DECIDE BASED ON OTHERS' OPINIONS. WAIT UNTIL YOU CAN SEE IT AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF, DONT MAKE UP YOUR MIND NOW. I LIKED IT, SOME DIDNT. NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER LIVE PERFORMANCE.

I am obsessed with Coldplay, but nobody in his right mind would call that a good performance. People, it's okay to say that it was sub-par. Still worth watching!

At the end of the performance Chris was like

"God, >.<"

and the jumped up and walked off stage

like i said, it was good, it was beautiful, chris didn't sound that bad but he was nervous a bit, but i saw one point in the song when chris smiled and looked relieved and then it was incredible, great ending.

still waiting on news of the duet........

I think Chris knows it sucked.

he always does, but he's not always right

aah I always love your posts

who will kindly put it on youtube for us that were not able to see it can judge the pissyness for ourselves???

i dont think we're going to get an upload until the entire thing is over, because there might be more stuff, like the duet, and it's probably easier to just do it all in one go. i shouldn't be talking about patience, because i have none of it, but these things take a bit of time.

i meant pissed at how it was going.

I think the performance was amazing :). Chris Martin seemed to have some trouble hitting some notes I guess...but overall it was a beautiful performance.

they could have the most amazing performance on earth and Chris would think there was something wrong with it

Whattt?? How can you people say this was bad? It was fucking MTV and it was the their first performance of new music in FOREVER so of course its going to be low key and awkward, because there's MAYBE like 10 real Coldplay fans in the audience. Just wait till the entire crowd is full of Coldplay fans. Then Chris will feel right at home and sing wonderfully!

I think it was amazing to see how they actually perform it. The bell was great, Jonny's guitar was sick, and I can totally see Chris performing a killer piano solo during the middle breakdown. I can't wait for this live because I know it will sound great in the right atmosphere :D

Did they do that cool harmony bit at the end??

i think only chris did, lol

That was awful, I love Coldplay and think they sound better live than on CD, but that was just disappointing.

The mix was off so bad, it should have been grander, with the strings live. WTF Confetti? What are they some cheap birthday party band? I know there going to sound a million times better come Philly, but it just sucks after I told everyone to watch it...

Damm you MTV and your shittyness.

Semy it isnt THAT bad. Just nerves and too much confetti The band and the music sounded awesome. Even though someday we need to hear it with a full orchestra once they are more cozy performing it...
Thanks for the reassurance man. I'm sure it wasn't ALL bad, but I still need to see it myself to judge.

And I hope someone recorded this! If anyone finds a youtube link or anything, let us know! :D

yes, the parts with all of them singing sounded great

they could have the most amazing performance on earth and Chris would think there was something wrong with it

very very true :)

he always does, but he's not always right

Fair enough. But lets not be naive

yeah, i'm checking for anyone who hasnt seen it yes, i'll post again if something pops up

8:24 PM ET - So with all the hype surround the Coldplay performance... I have to admit.. a bit of a let down! And as un-environmentally friendly as I may be, was there really a need for all that confetti? Still great, though.

I completely agree with you. I thought the performance was beautiful. Chris looked great! LOL it was funny when he almost ate some confetti.

lol i watch the talk performance in the grammy and then i watch the performance in toronto its a way of difference. i dont watch it (vlv performance) but i know that their live concerts are a way better. so dont say 'if it was a bad performance i dont want to listen coldplay anymore' its not good. there a lot of bands who sound bad in the awards i remember a u2 performance of beautiful day when bono cant reach the high notes.
