I REALLLLY want to go to this show and am going to try my best to get some tickets... the only thing that worries me is that when I tried to get tickets for the Chicago show during the Twisted Logic tour they were sold out in minutes!! If I don't get tickets I don't know what I'll do.... :(

Yeah it's at the United Center, during the XY tour when they came to Chicago I was up in the high seats (upper deck or whatever), although they were way up there they still weren't that bad... I would love to have floor seats or lower deck seats this time around but if I can't I would be happy to just be there even if they turn out to be nose bleed seats...

I don't think the acoustics are that bad, I was at their show during the XY tour and it was pretty damned cool, it's just that when you think of Coldplay you think of a small, more intimate setting with maybe 4000 people, not in a huge stadium playing in front of 40,000+ people.

why are the acoustics bad at the UC?

I say that the acoustics at the United Center are bad because unless you are on the floor there is a lot of feedback thrown around. If you are in the first balcony facing the left side of the stage, at about the halfway point of the venue, it's like you hear everything twice. Ugh. I just hate it there.

You mean, like, at Alpine Valley where they kicked ass in 2005? ;)

For the Alpine Valley show...the sounds wasn't that great. But....that was because we were able to get pit tickets. So, I traded the sound for finally being able to be up close. I am sure the people behind us, got to hear them really well. In the pit, I think the speakers were actually kind of behind us. But, it was so exciting to be that close.

For the United Center concert last year, we didn't have really close tickets. But, I thought the sound was better, since the speakers were this time in front of us. But, my sister did complain about the sound, saying it was hard to hear them clearly.

Both experiences were good for different reasons. I got to see the stage as a whole and all the effects for the United Center one since we were on the side.

Here are my pics from that show:

We were kind of off to the side...so we didn't get a great view of them. Pics aren't that great. But, it was fun anyways.

The tickets on stubhub are going for like $500?!?! Is it even possible to find a place to get floor tickets for $100; ticketmaster isn't even listing the chicago date

also, how do you know if your section is good or not? Do they do seating around the entire floor or just one half?

Have there been any Ticketmaster sales for this show yet? I don't see the show listed at Ticketmaster, only at LiveNation- and their ticket info is TBA.

(Oops, I just realized someone asked the same question before my post, sorry!)

well at least we know we are together in our confusion. I was worried that everyone was just leaving me in the dark so they could get the good tickets ;)

I have been checking this thread like hourly hoping that the stubhub prices are misleading and that I can still get floor seats for $100/piece

I was at Alpine Valley too :) Not in pit and sound still wasn't that great. Was in pit for the Indy show, day before and that was rockin!
