Haha yes that weird look is the best :D

Don't pretend to be impressed Chris :P

i looove backstage, candid videos like that :nice:

however, has anyone noticed a small glitch with the site lately? for the past few weeks there hasn't been a scroll bar on the side of any of the posts (you know, the one with the hand-drawn arrows) and i can't see most of the posts! i have to use the mobile site

Uhmm.... hand drawn arrows do show for me Chelsea :uhoh:

Good afternoon. Here's a little film which we had left over from Sunday's Roskilde live blog, showing the band taking to the stage, complete with pre-gig huddle (and Jonny flicking the Vs...)

There is an amazing film online from Roskilde

You see the band right before they go on stage, untill the show begins. It's amazing, gives you goosebumps all over!

They all look so relaxed and happy :nice:

It's the best film since the one from the postcards!

That must be V for Viva

Roadie #42 remembers Coldplay super-fan Jennifer John

news_line.png

I have just learned of the tragic death of a big personality and well-loved member of the Coldplay fan community. Jennifer John, known to most as "Nettie". Jen ran two fansites dedicated to Coldplay: mycoldplay and guyberryman.net. These sites were a strong and very active part of the fan community and Jen attended a huge number of Coldplay shows, meeting a great number of fans along the way.

Jennifer died in a tragic car accident on Saturday travelling to Cornwall to watch Kasabian at the Eden Sessions. That she died on her way to watch a band she loved, demonstrates how she lived. Her passion for music and her dedication to sharing both the live experience and the online community was truly inspirational.

I remember being staggered when she posted the MP3 of Bucket For A Crown, a song from the Viva writing sessions. She had been to a small charity show that Chris had appeared at and she bootlegged the whole thing. Not only had I not heard the song before, but I didn't even know that the gig was happening. Here I was getting the inside scoop from a fansite. It was only then that I realised how "on it" and organised she was.

I met her on several occasions at Coldplay shows. The first time being after one of the Earls Court shows on the X&Y tour. Tour Photographer Penny Howle was wandering around with a video camera chatting to fans as she often did and ran over and grabbed me. "You have to see these two, they are such lovely giddy kippers."

Jen was at all three of the Earls Court shows, on this night with her mate Steph. I remember Jen jokingly chastising me for not having updated the blog recently enough. We spoke only briefly, but her personality shone brightly as I am sure it did with everyone she met.

Our thoughts and great sympathies are with Jennifer's family and friends. She was a wonderful person who will undoubtedly be missed by many many people the world over.

I wonder if those puppets get dirty.

They've been everywhere.

Who cleans them?..

i bet their butts are filthy

and they've definitely gotten dinged up in all their travels...someday one of them is going to fall in some river when they prop them up on a bridge or something :uhoh:

Oh, definitely

I'm trying to figure out where they'll take the puppets in SF on Monday :wideeyed: Maybe I should go hang out in the city and stalk them. :P

I would gladly take an entry-level job with the Coldplay camp as puppet-ass-cleaner :wideeyed:. Perhaps then I could work the corporate ladder and get to where I want to be after a few years :P.

New banner: Will clean puppet ass for tickets!

I'm a bit tired of the puppets pics :uhoh:

well played..

I'm a bit tired of the puppets pics :uhoh:

+1

Its great and all that they want to show us the places they get to visit on tour, but really if they're taking pics i'd much rather see one of the boys or hell even some roadies at this point than the puppets!

Pfft, not for tickets! (Though I wouldn't refuse them, hell no!)

I want a decent job in management or the like :wacky:.

I'm a bit tired of the puppets pics :uhoh:
So you'd be opposed to a few puppets in Chile pics then? ......................yeah that's what I thought you'd say. ;)
