  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Q. Being from England the band must be fans of football. Which club does each band member support?

The Oracle replies...

Will supports Southampton and Jonny supports Tottenham Hotspurs. Guy & Chris haven't really got a particular team.

Q. Will we ever see a live performance of Coldplay and Zeppelin together?

The Oracle replies...

Will we ever see another live performance of Zeppelin together after the Ahmet Ertegun gig last December? That's what I want to know. Of course, usually I would know but Zeppelin are above The Oracle.

But in answer to your question, no.

Q. Is this the real address to write a letter to Coldplay?

Chris Martin/Coldplay

EMI Records

43 Brook Green

London, W6 7EF

United Kingdom

Will they answer to me? Or can you give me the Bakery address?

The Oracle replies...

You can certainly use that address to send letters. They will then be forwarded to Debs Wild. Alternatively to save trees and all that, you can email her directly at [email protected].

Q. Hello Oracle! I was wondering why Coldplay doesn't include the lyrics with the CDs. Although we can find most on the internet and they *may* be accurate, isn't it better to provide them yourselves so that people sing the RIGHT words at the shows rather than mumbling, "Roman Catholic choirs are singing..." and the like?

:-) Kersten

The Oracle replies...

Chris likes reading the CD lyrics to others artist's music so one would assume Coldplay would include theirs. However, the band like the idea of people listening to the music and lyrics and making their own interpretation. They don't want to keep the lyrics a secret which is why they will appear on the official website.

"They will appear on the official website"

Does that mean it's being updated again? :wideeyed:

Ahhh, no more Nappies? I was holding out hope for that.

Now THAT was finally an excellent/worthwhile question!

As all brilliant people do. :D

COYR!

The Oracle will now probably be bombarded with questions asking who The Nappies are!

Q. what should i do if i like a guy but that guy doesn't really likes me,he likes another girl but that girl likes his best friend.sooo he's trying to forget about her with me but i don't want that because i really like him and i want him to really like me to.

The Oracle replies:

The thing you should do is like yourself enough to not let him have you if you believe that's not what he really wants. You deserve better than that.

Good advice!

Does anyone have probems viewing the coldplay.com site? Part of it is cut off on my screen, and I can't scroll over.

Q. hey oracle...i was watching a video of coldplay performing on youtube, and i notice that chris no longer paints the make trade fair symbol (equal sign) on the back of his left hand. Has he painted it somewhere else or does he not support make trade fair anymore?

The Oracle replies:

The band still support Fair Trade. Oxfam have been on tour with the band and there's a blog where you can read all about it. Check our news section for more details.

back

I just asked a question today.

Mine was,

"I've heard Chris speak a bit a French before. Can any of the band members speak another language apart from English?"

I don't know if it's a dumb question or not, but it interests me. Who knows? One of them could suprise everyone :laugh3:

I think that's a cool question - way better than most of the ones that have been put up there so far!

so basically the oracle has gone from answering basic google questions to giving relationship advice. interesting...

although i have to say today's questions were slightly better than the norm.

Not seen this one posted in the thread yet

Q. I've seen a handful of different painted acoustic guitars over the past few months used during live shows (and the Violet Hill video!). They are absolutely brilliant and I can't tell you how much I just want to get my hands on one. The guys should sell them! How many of these guitars do the guys use?

The Oracle replies:

Vicki Taylor, the band's assistant hand-painted each and every instrument. It's not limited to acoustic guitars, if you look at the drums and electric guitars etc. All designs are again based on Frida Kahlo's work. There are few sets of each too.
