No one really knows from what I can tell. But this all reminds me of the controversy that was on Keane's official boards before Spiralling was released. Someone accidentally got into the site three days prior and (supposedly) downloaded the song.

 

They refused to share it at first; by the time they agreed to hours later, then the mods wouldn't let them share it, people freaked out, etc.

 

So Navegador, just come out and tell the truth, please??

It sounded skeptical from the beginning...his 'details' about the songs were vague and most of the descriptions we already knew, why would some guy's Dad who lives in BRAZIL of all places be the first to access or know about this promo/track list. And the whole story about the friend threatening him is just over the top...I mean would a few neighbour folks in Brazil who might have heard him screaming really care that much about getting their hands on a new Coldplay EP? :confused:

 

If it ends up true then I stand corrected, but really who's he kidding?

Glass Of Water - I loved this one, looks like a Strawberry Swing with the heavy eletric guitars of Crests of Waves. "Spend your whole life living in the past, going nowhere fast, though we measured to get used to a life like that"

Now, I have heard through the grapevine that his dad owns our local baseball pitch.. but I had no idea he owned a record label too.

 

Here is my review:

 

Prospket's March - Begins with Chris shouting "March backwards boys!". An instrumental-like version of LIT kicks in, only it's played backwards.

 

Glass of Water - "Is it half empty, or half full?" shouts Guy Berryman. "I will tell you now", says Will Champion. Lots of gulping is heard, then Johnny announces "Now it's just empty". The song then breaks into a jam with loud drums and guitars. "I will not swallow that glass, I will not cut my ass"

 

Postcards from Far Away - Except for the poor quality, this is IDENTICAL to 42. I always knew it.

 

Poppy Fields - Recorded in Afghanistan. "No, I don't want to be a small small man, I just want to live in Afghanistan." is heard, in a melody similar to that of the end of DAAHF.

19:32 PM, GMT +3. The door was knocked. I opened. It was a friend of mine, with a piece of paper in his hands "I want to show you something. Don't talk loud, use only pen and paper". He went to my bedroom, I locked the door (no, it's not sex :rolleyes:). Then he gets a CD off his pocked, with no cover, just simple black and white promo disc, written "Coldplay Prospekt's March". I was going to scream, he didn't let me. He wrote in that piece of paper "Don't tell anyone, don't tell about the disc, don't tell about me, don't tell NOTHING!! I've got to go. Enjoy. KEEP QUIET!". I started to scream in my mind. Then, I played the CD. And here's the info:

This one you already know. Short hidden track, about 1 minute, only a simple piano in it.

 

Glass Of Water - I loved this one, looks like a Strawberry Swing with the heavy eletric guitars of Crests of Waves. "Spend your whole life living in the past, going nowhere fast, though we measured to get used to a life like that"

 

Leftrightleftrightleft - Starts with the sound of a march, with a voice saying "Left, right, left, right, left", then there's a scream and the song starts in a catchy Clocks-like melody. Instrumental.

 

Poppy Fields - Has an African feeling, but heavier and faster than Strawberry Swing. "I don't want to lie on my own in a separate sky, and there I don't want to die" "Poppy fields, Poppy fields, where ugliness become beauty"

 

The Dubliners - Has a 60's folk rock feeling. "Everybody wants this, everybody wants that, everbody just complains about the mysteries of the life"

The only thing that pisses me off about this being a fake is that Glass of Water sounded incredible. Strawberry Swing and Crests of Waves mixed--my two favorite Coldplay tracks. It was a nice dream while it lasted!

It's actually quite impressive how far he took this lie. With all the things he said about each song, he must have put in some quality effort.

 

Please don't do that, it gets all of us Coldplay fans really excited, I know you want attention, but do it in a different way that doesn't affect anyone else.
