Hi guys, I was working, so I coldn't log in for some time. I just read 4 pages of postings.

Diane your pictures are amazing, thanks. You are becoming famous now  I hope the anchorman post the Coldplay shaped fans pictures in their homepage.

The Pit looks a lot smaller than I thought it wil be.

The only good thing about waiting a few months is that the weather will be much much nicer and cooler from October through February. I was not looking forward to stand in line for hours with a temperature of 97F (feels like 110) and some 100%humidity.

Are you guys going to hold on to those Pit tickets? I think I will keep mine. I'm sorry for those people who bought tickets for way over the face value on Stub Hub or Ebay.

Sam, maybe if you ask for a refund and return your ticket, we will get our concert sooner :laugh3: (just joking)

Yangarin...hmmm...i might just do that! haha ..nice one...not you too! Nice to meet ya...

Even though it said this pit held 1400, it looked much smaller than I thought it would. And remember the side ramps would be in there too. We would have been very cozy.

At Home Depot Center (July 18, Los Angeles), the pit was enormous

Hello GreenEyes..

For the most part yes. Usually shows are spread throughout the year.....but usually spring and throughout the summer is pretty busy (this week alone had about 4 or 5 shows scheduled before and after the Coldplay show!)

hope that helps..

Sam

It doesn't look as big in the second pit, but it was a huge pit! Biggest one I was in between Chula, Carson and Irvine.

The Irvine pit was awesome, only like 160 people, 161 if you include Gwyneth moving down from her box in Sec 6. We moved down to the 3rd row for the 2nd encore, and we felt like we were *right* there because the pit was so tiny. Home Depot must have had like 3000, by the time the show started, all the white areas were pretty filled in. We had seats in the 19th row behind the pit, and we were really far back from the stage.

Hey guys, this just went up:

Following the cancellation of last Sunday's Tampa show, many of you have been in touch to ask whether the upcoming European shows will be affected. We're pleased to report that the Viva tour will resume, as scheduled, in Herning on Sunday, August 16.

For details of the band's 17 upcoming shows (culminating in two homecoming gigs at Wembley Stadium), please click here. We'll post an update on the rescheduled Tampa show as soon as we have some details.

Thanks folks.

So you guys are getting a reschedulement maybe after Europe. :D From here: http://www.coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=467

At least Chris or whoever's sick is well now!

that pit in LA is gigantic! I'm glad the Tampa one isn't that huge...I was really nervous about the size.

I was wondering if Gwenyth would show up at any of the concerts. I forgot to look for her in the box seats in Wheatland -- they were in the section right behind us.

Maybe they could add a couple of dates to the tour so they would not come back for just one show. Do Orlando and West Palm Beach again after Tampa :D

It was the best pit cuz it was SO small! (plus, they gave us a free "meal"-those in the PIT and this little lounge. It was kinda cool) It wasn't even 10 steps from front to back of the pit! I still can't believe I never saw Gwyneth in the PIT! :( :(

Ohh glad you got to sneak down towards the end. :)

Yeah, Home Depot was HUUUGGGGEEEE! I was surprised on how big that pit was, it was bigger then the one at Chula Vista, and that held like 3,000 I wanna saw.

Hopefully, you still get to make it to the rescheduled show and get to experience the PIT. :D There's no other way to go...LOL. :laugh4: :D

hey everyone! hope all is well :) now it's time to play catch-up :D

Dianne! these pics are amazing :D thanks for posting them and i'm glad you guys had such a great time :nice:

and @Angie: I love your blog! :)

for real!!! and that's funny you say that because I always joke with my family that the day of a Coldplay concert always feels like Christmas when I was little :laugh3: can't sleep, too excited to do anything but think about it and plotting ways to find them! :laugh3::laugh3:

haha so true for me as well!

Aww what a bummer for the ppl who were planning to go...im thinking about saving up to go to the tampa concert...should I??

Well, if they re-schedule it to later this year or early next year, I may go myself. Who knows when they might tour again. At least the postponement means some of us might be able to join you all :)

It wasn't sold out right?

that would be awesome if the both of you could go  even more Coldplayers at this show! :cheesy:

I hope they change the setlist for this show, and not play the same thing over again.

sameee here. *fingers crossed*

oh wow, I'm almost at my 1,000 post ! :D

congrats, Kaleigh :)

Or add another SoCal date or a Las Vegas (where I live) date...:laugh4: I can only wish....

I may have to go to this new show. Is anyone selling a couple of PIT tickets? I bet they can be found cheap now that they are not sure when the show will be.

Morning People!!! Tom at Babelgum sent me a email asking if I want to go to Wembly with 2 nights stay. I am torn, having 2 teens that are in school, not knowing to take my older one and myself over there or waiting for Tampa. I would really want to do tampa, cause I don't like going to unfamiliar places without the hubby, I haven't been to London in over 30 yrs.

Oh what to do, what to do..............

Oh WOW MartinFan! that's a tough call. I would love to see those guys in their home country just to feel the energy of that crowd! But I do understand due to your kids ..that would be difficult. Plus if you aren't familiar with London ...that's an issue there too. Good luck with whatever you do!

Oh, that's tough, but how amazing would that be? Did they give you the option of waiting for a Tampa reschedule? Of course, if it were me, I'd be on the next plane. And London is well-marked and not difficult to get around and it's all in English, lol. You could go by the Bakery! And could you get your daughter a passport in time? I'm sure you could get it expedited. And if your daughter really can't go, my birthday is Sept. 18, you know.....

Ok, so that's an incoherent ramble. lol

Well, Neither of us have a passport, mine has expired, I think I can rush it, it would take 2 weeks. I just feel as tho it would be rushed like we would get there, and then come right back. I just don't know, I emailed him back explaining the situation and if he would honor a rescheduled concert for Tampa even if it was scheduled as late as 2010, I am waiting for his mail back.

2 nights in London with VIP tickets to Coldplay...mmmmmm Most of us will love to get that prize. Don't think about it so much, just go, have fun, enjoy it!!!

It 's not like you are leaving for months. Do you have any relatives to take care of your kids for a few days? Maybe you can make it a second honeymoon with your Hubby :D

You can always come to Tampa later on (2 hours drive is nothing).

Hey again..

You should go ahead and get your passport issues squared away now. No matter what you do. My mom had to expedite hers a few years and she paid a pretty penny to get it done. Maybe the turnaround time won't be as bad since we are winding down vacation season. Usually if you try to get an expedited passport right before summer vacation starts...it might take a little longer!

good luck again....

Yes I will go do the passport thingy, I have relatives but they all work, my neighbor would do it I am pretty sure. You guy's are pushing my buttons concerning London...:laugh3: GO GO GO GO:laugh3:

it's a tough call ...i just see all those vids of Coldplay performing overseas and compared to US crowds...are so much more into it! i think it would be neat plus it would be cool to get your perspective on how it really is to be at a show there!

The show at Wembley will be unforgettable. Coldplay's returning London to do their last Viva La Vida show at home. The energy will be awesome, and Jaz-Zee is the supporting act. There is no comparison to Tampa. You're extremely lucky to have this opportunity.
