I have to admit that I'm kind of a Desparate Housewives junkie. :) I admit that it's pretty shallow, but I guess it's one of my guilty pleasures!

I, too, enjoy the whole Chris / Gwyneth story. I hate that the tabloids periodically run articles about them saying that they are breaking up. They seem pretty happy to me. A friend of mine recently saw a Gwyneth interview. My friend said she looked really happy. I think I may have seen her at the concert in Washington. Just before Coldplay came on, I saw a tall, blond woman being escorted off the stage. That's the closest I've ever gotten to her! Who knows, it might not have been her, but it's kind of fun to think it might have been!

We saw Gwyneth in Irvine. She was sitting in one of the boxes, and looked happy. She was with a group and they were taking pictures. She also went down to the pit in front of the stage during Fix You - the camera showed her on the big screen. I think it was the only time I've ever heard Chris sing Fix You without changing any of the lyrics, and he sang the whole song, except for asking the audience to sing the very last refrain.

Here in the Ottawa Valley, Canada. today we're expecting a high of 56F. For Thursday night, a low of 29F is forecast. And it's not even October yet!

I can't believe that yesterday I said (above) that Canadian winters aren't all that bad. If you were around last spring, you might recall how desperate I was to see green. I start "counting down to green" week by week in mid-January.

Still, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

WOAH Ziggy, that sounds quite cool!!! I was shocked when we went to Wembley how warm it was, I could have worn shorts my entire trip. Thank goodness the rain and cloudy conditions London is known for, were staying away the short time we were there.

This is good too, sorry if you have seen them before....

I read in lost.com that Chris likes "LOST", but I don't know if 42 has something to do with it. Many Losties were wondering that last year when VLV came out. I remember I read some threads about it. There are many Lost/Coldplay fans out there. Just check on how many Lost videos on Youtube with Coldplay songs. :)

Not being a Lost fan, could someone tell me the connection between Lost and 42 ? Thanks!

Ziggy, there are a series of numbers in the LOST series, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42, that keep recurring. First, one of the main characters won over $100,000,000 in the lottery by playing those numbers. Next, they are the sequence of numbers that must be entered into a computer every 108 minutes (which is what the numbers add up to)...or else... The flight that crashed was Flight 815...and so on...As for 42, you can go here for lots of details. :) http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/42

Thanks, Dianne: I checked out the Wikepedia article - WOW! So this is all still a mystery in the series? Will it be explained in time in the series, do you think (if it hasn't already)?

I may have to start watcing Lost from the beginning. But it will cut into my Coldplaying time LOL.

You should. You won't be disappointed. I don't know if in Canada they have the monthly pass at Blockbusters (all you can watch for a flat rate). That is what I did, I wanted to know what was the buzz all about and I end up watching 3 season in less than a month :shocked2: Warning: very very addictive ;)

It is much better to watch the DVDs with no commercial breaks.

Dianne, I wonder who spent hours and hours checking the numbers in each episode (for the lostpedia).

Interesting... I've been wondering about the significance of "42". I'm not a "LOST" fan, either, so thanks for explaining! Maybe I'll have to check it out...

From HBO, my boys from Entourage. :wink3:

We don't have HBO so I've never seen any of the shows. But Chris made a comment at the Irvine concert - the part when he thanks the audience for coming, he said something like, " thanks for coming, for getting babysitters and dealing with parking, for giving us your Sunday evening and missing Entourage, we almost postponed the concert so we wouldn't miss Entourage" (huge cheer from the crowd), then he said, "It's true," and laughed.

That is a great show. I never miss it neither. It is like "Sex on the city" for guys.

It is very very funny. And Vince (main character) is...:wink3:

I like Josh42 signature:

"RALEIGH SHOW- AUGUST 6TH, 2009. BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. CHRIS HAD EYE SEX WITH ME FOR LIKE 30 SECONDS AT THE C STAGE. " :laugh3:

So now that an LA stadium tour has been announced, what are the chances of rescheduling Tampa?

I'm thinking they could stop in Florida on their way to Brazil, and stop in California after they do Mexico...makes perfect sense to me!

It's just not worth it to them, I would think. 1 concert in Tampa, would be alot for them to set up for, then pull out:cry: It just pisses me off they just swept it under the mat, with no official notice from the Band. I am so glad the LA tour will go on and that they didn't leave them out, but still feel like the Charlie In The Box on the Island Of Misfit Toy's....................:(

Yeah, I know...plus they're going to be all ready for big stadiums, not little amphitheaters - basically, we're screwed.

Now do I want to go to Mexico? I dunno - I've been to the cruise-ship tourist cities, but not inland. I don't speak any Spanish at all, funny, considering the huge Spanish-speaking population here and we live less than 2 hours north of the border.

Which LA stadium tour?

Tampa has a large stadium too, U2 is playing there soon. Also, there are stadiums in Orlando and Miami. They can do 3 shows ;)

On the e-mail I sent to the anchorman I suggested/encourage a stop in Florida (while they are on the way to South America).

I'm sure they will add more dates. There are missing Chile, Peru, Venezuela, they are very popular on those countries too.

Sorry guys no offence here but how can you start talking about they playing other dates (not just tampa) in the US. They played the US more then once on this tour so why on earth should they play there again with that album?

P.

Maybe because Tampa was supposed to be the last show of the US Tour, on August 9, 2009. Chris got sick and they "postponed" the concert the day before on August 8. Over a month later, we received an email from the promoter, Live Nation, informing Tampa ticketholders that the show was officially cancelled, and we would be refunded our money. No word from the band, other than the initial "postponed" announcement.

If you've been following our discussions, we have been talking about how they could fit in a rescheduled show, not that it would really happen, but it's something that we have been chatting about. We've been half-heartedly hoping that they would make a stop in Tampa on their way from London down to South America. As for the California reference, I flew 2,129 miles (or 3,426 km) from California to Tampa just for the concert, and was in the air when it was cancelled and could not change my plans. There are others who also flew in to see the concert. We're not "blaming" Chris for getting sick, but there were nearly 20,000 people who had tickets to this sold-out show, and who are very disappointed by the cancellation, as well as the lack of any announcement from the band.

That is why we keep talking about Tampa...

Thats all fair enough however the show is cancelled, would it have been nice from cp.com to have an annoucement yes, but guess they had other things on there mind at the time.

Regarding that people flew in etc. to see the show I totally understand to be upset, annoyed, disappointend when it got cancelled but that is always a risk when you go to gig which are far away from where you live. It's not like anybody forced anybody to do so. Speaking from experience there.

We're not that dumb to realize they won't be coming back here, but this was a special LAST US TOUR STOP for this tour and alot of people were dissapointed in all the money and time that was spent for it to be POSTPONED by the band, not Cancelled. I think all we are asking, is why management hasn't cancelled it themselves, it only left us with a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe they were gonna MAYBE fit it in. THE last RESPONSE from the BAND was it was postponed and they were working on it. Don't crap on our dream Man, we already know it won't happen, but we can always hope.
